    Nice troubleshooting, but I believe that green water is glycol and it comes from a glycol dry cooler not a cooling tower..the whole system is a closed loop..great work

    I worked on s as lot of water cooled heat pumps and nine times out of ten if there was a pressure issue it was always a plugged orfice in the water loop. Flushed out many orfices and cleaned screens.

      That strainer is always the first suspect! They clog up so often. Maintenence is so important. Thanks for watching & commenting. Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

      Had a call once where the unit didn't have a strainer and the inside of the hoses were corroded and falling apart so it was clogged up

    Great video , Definitely would’ve used different type of gauges on that small system

    I do this for my condo I had to get a plumber to add those valves to be able to flush or create a loop for descaling. It’s crazy all 26 units in the building didn’t have those access valves but instead the developers added circulator pumps to help the return line (for those far away from the water tank) and if those get clogged it’s another headache to take them out and clean them with vinegar. Anyways, awesome video.

    What sort of temperature should the water be going to the inlet coil on the heat exchanger?

    Great vid. Where exactly do you take a measurement on the low side for super-heat on these packaged heatpumps?

    • @armandodeleon5047
      @armandodeleon5047 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually they’re built with the suction valve closest to you or the one on top, atleast thats how it is for FloridaHeatPump packaged units. Low side on top Hi Side on bottom. Other than that feel the nipple and the pipe, see which one burns 😂

    What water did you hook up (discharge) to pump thru the supply and out of the hose? And did you hook up a circulating pump?

  • @jimdefilippis9630

    Cool video, hopefully you could do a video on the cleaning of the condenser with the pump. I have a lot of these heat pumps I have to take care of, but have never done what you are talking about with the pump to chemically clean the condensers. Also, is this something that should be done on a regular maintenance schedule. Thanks for the video

    • @renecuevas4128
      @renecuevas4128 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No only if need it. You need De Scale Acid and an Acid Pump also with clear hose 1 inch about 2 pieces of 4 to 6 feet long and a 5 gal bucket with 2 1 inch Metal Clamps

    At what temperature does the water leave that heat exchanger? Can that be used to warm the water up?

    • @renecuevas4128
      @renecuevas4128 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if it goes in at 85 degrees must leave no higher than 105 degrees...unless there is a Water Flow issue

    • @renecuevas4128
      @renecuevas4128 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will warm the water in summer yes as a Heat Recovery but in wimter is useless and you can not mix with Domestic Residential Water

    Hello, What should the inlet water temperture be in cooling mode?

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A healthy inlet water temp I would say would be around 70-75 degrees F. Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week 🔧⚡️

    So what if the water source heat pump is not reciveing enough water into the unit, because for me it's blowing just cold air even if I set it to heat 🤔 one of the mechanics told me when they opened it up the water came out like a paste 🤔 do all water source heat pumps use anit coolants ???

    I had 8 degrees temp split but the head pressure fluctuated I 330 psi to 450 psi.
    What could cause it ?

  • @wd8557
    @wd8557 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I work on a ton of them at my job, 99% of the time it's usually a water flow issue. Now as I run into issues they are letting me put in mini-split's. And are walking away from all the water issues. It can be they tapped into a water line over the weekend for a different job Bam! I have unit's down. Only good thing is I'll call pipefitter's over and they will kill the water, check the strainer's and blow that condenser line out in about 10 min's, they have all the shit for it. It's probably higher up but I did not see a water pressure gauge or temperature gauge on your system.

    You could have simply taken delta T and pressure drop reading at the test ports to diagnose before opening glycol system. But good.maintemace anyway.

  • @bradgeary3467
    @bradgeary3467 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    . 46 supply air seems too low. 36 sat temp with r22. and high side still too high. be interesting to see the water delta and unit sub/super are. id bet $20 it’s poor airflow from dirty filter or hammered evap coil and still something wrong with charge or water volume. sure it runs but it’s definitely not right. you may be flooding back too
