    Hi guys! Here are the matching earrings to the earlier twisted wire ring. :) This project requires some level of skill and patience. The make it or break it factor pretty much rely on how well the twisted circle is joined. The success rate could be 50/50. I’ve included some failed attempts in the tutorial, be sure to watch it, so you don’t have to go through them and save some time. If you ever try making this, let me know. 😊

    💛 *THANK YOU* 💛 NOW TBH I HAVE SEEN THIS VIDEO POP UP SO MANY TIMES AS I HAVE BEEN SCROLLING ( FOR ABOUT 1YR ) RING & EARRINGS & IN ALL HONESTY I DIDN'T CLICK JUST DUE TO THE FACT THAT I LOVE CHUNKY JEWELLERY ... HOWEVER MY MUM LIKES DAINTY JEWELLERY SO TONIGHT I GAVE
    THEM BOTH A WATCH & TO MY SURPRISE I WAS WRONG & THEY ARE FAR THICKER , LARGER & TACTILE THAN I FIRST THOUGHT LOOKING @ THE THUMBNAIL 💛 I HAD AN IDEA LIKE THIS & HAVE BEEN TWISTING > HAMMERING > RINGS ALL WEEK , BUT FOUND THE LASSO PART STOOD OUT TOO FAR SO CUTTING ONE SIDE OFF MAY JUST DO THE TRICK & I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU ADDING ALL YOUR ATTEMPTS & I THINK FROM WATCHING I MAY BE ABLE TO SALVAGE A COUPLE OF THINGS 🙌 *THANKS AGAIN* 💯💛

    Such nice earrings! I will try to recreate them once my Wire comes in. What would you recommend to use instead of the Metalblock? Unfortunately I don't have one yet.
    Also, a fun video Idea: jewellery making with minimal Equipment/household items or a challenge :)

      Thank you Magdelena! I’m glad that you’re making these soon. It requires something harder than the metal wires like an anvil or metal block in order for the flattening to work. So that’s quite unlikely to find a substitution from house hold item. All wooden, plastic, acrylic materials wouldn’t be able to create that effect and they are most likely be dented instead. If you happen to have a big metal hammer which has a flat metal side surface, that’d work. But the surface would be rather small and hard to work with. And you’d need 2 hammers instead of one. Hope this make sense.

      Hi you’ll need to create a dent on the earring post to use a metal nuts. You should search for video on how to make earring posts, lots of video teaching that. Here’s one from other TH-camr: th-cam.com/video/I3FgrPAzx40/w-d-xo.htmlsi=x8tI5v0ddKAI1Bck

    Are you annealing the wire often as you work harden it?

    • @MaggieCSAtelier
      @MaggieCSAtelier  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends, but for all the videos I’ve uploaded here doesn’t require annealing. Just using half hard wires would do.

    COULD YOU TELL ME HOW TO AVOID THE SHARP BURS I AM GETTING ON MY RING BANDS , USED COPPER ( NOT SURE IF IT'S ANNEALED ) I TWIST TIGHT BY HAND THEN HAMMER WITH MY DOMED CHASING HAMMER , BUT THE BARE COPPER 1.25MM ISN'T LOOKING HOW I WANT ( THE CURB CHAIN LOOK I LOVE ) & LOOKS A BIT LIKE HAMMERED PLATED WIRE WHERE IT BREAKS THE PLAYING , BUT IT'S DEFINITELY BARE COPPER SO I AM GOING TO TRY MY ANNEALED COPPER TO SEE HOW THAT GOES & I HAVE ANNEALED BRASS TO MAKE THIS SET 💭🍀💛

    • @MaggieCSAtelier

      Lol….. I was having hard time understanding til I read every comments. If you meant the sharp bur after cutting the wire off, then first of all make sure it’s cut by a flush cutter and cut it as short as possible. After that use sand papers or any polishing method to smoothen out all the roughness. If the wires got hardened and hard to work with then it would be easier for you to use dead soft wires (or annealed wires) And if you are using plating or coated wires then you’ll need to skip as much polishing as possible. And you’ll also can tape your pliers with masking tape before using them on the wires to prevent ripping off the coating too much. But this would leave some residue on wires and require some clean up. Hope this helps and happy making. :)

    I really want to make this, but it kills me that apparently the wire needs to be twisted by hand and I just can't do it no matter how much I try, so I just use a drilling machine with which it takes me seconds and no struggle at all but it doesn't leave any untwisted ends. I'm going to try to figure a way to do it with the drilling machine, I hope I can find some way.

      Hi I have a video making twisted wire with the help of clamp on bench. It frees up your other hand to help you to twist the wire and still leave an untwisted end. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/y08yX2ZUJLo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aRGm9ZE1Z-cF_CCU Hope this video would help. :)
