1-21-24 State of Illinois, USA. Hey Bob, I did not fully understand the [problem in the feeder housing. was the feeder chain tracking off to the left on the feeder drum. ??? Has it been a problem before ? Did the other machine have same problem ?? WOW 80 acres to go, I assume you will follow up planting corn. Do you raise wheat or barley in your crop cycle?? Today is Sunday 3 PM clear sky snow on ground and - 2 C we call this extreme COLD !!!
The chain was left beans on the platform, and started to form a mess. hahah. so I adjusted and now in running nice. our old case ih 2688 had the same problem. I adjusted in the same way. We dont raise wheat over here nowadays, just in the past. and barley we never worked with it. oh, really cold there!! thanks for watching!!
OK, thanks for your reply. What did you adjust ?? Was the front feeder drum not parallel to the upper drive shaft ?? This would cause the feeder chain to run slack (loose) not keeping beans stalks moving up the throat.@@farminginbrazil
