I want to point out for any doctors wondering about her passive, at around the 4:00 mark Typhon is shown hitting stainless's turrets in order to "help her keep her passive up". The passive being the 50/60% def ignore of enemies. Problem is that's not how her passive works. It works on a per-enemy basis. Meaning that she has to "hit" enemy A 5 times for the full buff, and then if she hits enemy B she doesn't automatically have def ignore. She would need to "hit" enemy B 5 times for that to happen. The "hit" also doesn't necessarily mean each attack animation, as her S2 makes her attacks hit twice on one target (or two different ones) which would lower the necessary attacks down to 3. Meanwhile with her S3, each attack if it is targeted on one enemy hits 5 times, so she gets the full passive def ignore immediately. All of that to say that no, she has no particular synergy with Stainless S3, unless we are using his S2 or S1 for buffs. Hope this helps!

I just came from SUPAH's video. He said that Typhon is just another boss killer and Ray is better. When I disagree and commented that he should not discourage people from pulling for Typhon. I got harassed by SUPAH himself, he threw insults at me, along with his fans. He even pinned my comment in order to humiliate me. I didn't expect for a content creator to do something like that to his viewer. I've always liked his videos. I've always told my friends that the Arknights community is the best and there's almost no toxicity. But this is a sad experience for me.
Ray is better in the sense of she has higher ceiling but lower floor. Compared to Typhon's lower ceiling but higher floor. For players who gets enjoyment out of strategizing, and doesn't have allergies to clicking, Ray is better. But for the general players of AK EN, who usually just find an afk/easy guide, they would be benefit off of Typhon more than Ray, because Typhon is easier to use (pretty braindead I'd say). Even Storn said so too. The problem in AK community is people parrots each other while not having any experience to said operators. Especially EN content creators or ak reddit people lol. Pull for Typhon now and then save for Shu. You're likely to accumulate enough pulls for Shu within 6 months if you will skip other banners, although Degenbreacher is too good to skip.

New Rhodes Island intern here, I only have 35 pulls but I want Typhon and I know pity carries over for standard banners, is this a limited banner? Also if it is not limited, even with only 35 pulls, should I just roll? I only have 3 6-stars, Suzuran and Weedy from the new player banner and Ifrit from recruitment.
No, this is not Limited, it should carry over to the next Jessica Alter banner. Hmm those 3 6-star are usually not too recommended for newbie especially Weedy. You typically want someone with good firepower even at low level like Typhon, Exusiai, Mountain, etc. But with your current resources, You'll be depending on luck a lot if you only have 30 pulls, at least 50 is a comfy amount to get a 6 star. If you are not too far, might want to consider reroll and try to get Typhon, or just save what you have for future banner. Next Limited banner around April is the best spot to dumb resources. Or maybe in the Upcoming [Front That Was] Banner

And I have enough Originite Prime that I could use some to guarantee if I really wanted to. Thanks for your help, and also yeah I realized right away when I got them that those 6 stars are not new player friendly, but I have made do with them, even using them as core units for some missions, such as Ifrit beating Big Bob.

Hey I wrote this in another comment but I wanted you to know that at 3:51, stainless S3 and Typhon's first passive have no synergy. That is because she gets a def ignore after 5 hits on an enemy. So it triggers per enemy not just by her continuously attacking. For example if with her S2 she was hitting an enemy A, and the def ignore had reached 50%, but then another enemy B entered her range, she wouldn't automatically ignore enemy B's defense, she would need to hit him 5 times as well for it to trigger. Also she may need to "hit" the enemy 5 times for the full buff but that doesn't necessarily mean 5 different attacks. That is because if she's attacking only one enemy with S2, each attack hits twice, so the trigger quota goes down to 3 total attacks. Similarly, if she is using S3 on a sinlge enemy, each attack hits 5 times, so she gets the def ignore instantly. Hope I wasn't too confusing or preachy!

Typhon is a strong pull, but not quite a must if you have a solid team and enjoy clearing contents yourself. But if you are among lazy dokutahs who often use AFK/Easy guides to clear the contents and still have to borrow friend's unit from time to time, you may regret skip her banner because you can expect her face in many guide vids especially bosses stage and future endgame contents.
I really hope to get her in 60 pulls. BUTTTTTTT, I'm willing to hard pity her. Not only she's meta, but she's also waifu material too. So good luck everyone who's trying to get her and also good luck to whoever skip her for other banners.

Archetto for elite killing/enemy that too far away( her range+1)
depends.. If you don't have ranged or any operator that have boss kill skill.. You can E2 Typhon first.
If you need damage Typhon for sure,if you need Marksman even 5 star marksmans would be enough

I got her in 3 single pulls... first Reed Alter in 23 pulls and now this. My luck is unreal ;;o;;
New Rhodes Island intern here, I only have 35 pulls but I want Typhon and I know pity carries over for standard banners, is this a limited banner? Also if it is not limited, even with only 35 pulls, should I just roll? I only have 3 6-stars, Suzuran and Weedy from the new player banner and Ifrit from recruitment.
No, this is not Limited, it should carry over to the next Jessica Alter banner.
Hmm those 3 6-star are usually not too recommended for newbie especially Weedy.
You typically want someone with good firepower even at low level like Typhon, Exusiai, Mountain, etc.
But with your current resources, You'll be depending on luck a lot if you only have 30 pulls, at least 50 is a comfy amount to get a 6 star.
If you are not too far, might want to consider reroll and try to get Typhon, or just save what you have for future banner.
Next Limited banner around April is the best spot to dumb resources.

@@FrostByte262 I will save for the April limited banner, I can safely get to 92.5 pulls without factoring in event resources, maintenance rewards, as well as the actual event rewards from during that banner. And I have enough Originite Prime that I could use some to guarantee if I really wanted to. Thanks for your help, and also yeah I realized right away when I got them that those 6 stars are not new player friendly, but I have made do with them, even using them as core units for some missions, such as Ifrit beating Big Bob.
Is she a good option to use with Muelsyse? I would assume having her large attack on 5 ranged operators at once would be a great nuke.

@@BryceHannigan He has very high attack interval and small range though,unless you'r using S3 he won't clone himself very much and bcz of small range enemies might kill the clone even before he kills them

Hey I wrote this in another comment but I wanted you to know that at 3:51, stainless S3 and Typhon's first passive have no synergy. That is because she gets a def ignore after 5 hits on an enemy. So it triggers per enemy not just by her continuously attacking. For example if with her S2 she was hitting an enemy A, and the def ignore had reached 50%, but then another enemy B entered her range, she wouldn't automatically ignore enemy B's defense, she would need to hit him 5 times as well for it to trigger.
Also she may need to "hit" the enemy 5 times for the full buff but that doesn't necessarily mean 5 different attacks. That is because if she's attacking only one enemy with S2, each attack hits twice, so the trigger quota goes down to 3 total attacks. Similarly, if she is using S3 on a sinlge enemy, each attack hits 5 times, so she gets the def ignore instantly.

Typhon is a strong pull, but not quite a must if you have a solid team and enjoy clearing contents yourself.
But if you are among lazy dokutahs who often use AFK/Easy guides to clear the contents and still have to borrow friend's unit from time to time, you may regret skip her banner because you can expect her face in many guide vids especially bosses stage and future endgame contents.
