This was one of the best talks that described to me the real meaning of the first step and the phrase in the book Alcoholics Anonymous "alcoholics of our type". Every newcomer should hear this talk.

Fantastic message. Booze is not our problem as Johnny said. Untreated alcoholism can kill, stopping drinking don’t get us well, finding a power is the solution

I enjoyed Johnny’s talk , the young man that introduced him was such a serviced junkie and Johnny kept it very very simple the way the message can reach others , a simple life saving message of recovery from alcoholism always rings true.

John told my story to a ”t” I laughed and cried. He spoke the truth. The only people that told me the truth about myself was the police, district attorneys, and the judges. My family quite literally loved me to death. He said “ The Big Book is designed to introduce us to a power greater than ourselves.”
    Absolutely, God’s will not mine!
C.S. Lewis writes “ There are two types of people, those who say to God thy will be done, and those to whom God says, alright then have it your way.”
    God bless Alcoholics Anonymous!
