They can feel more for one but as far as things they have to give equally. So poor guys dreaming abt 2nd wife can forget abt it. Only rich men can afford to have more than one wife. Poor guys should try to keep the one they have and stop thinking abt a 2nd one. Also realistically speaking women will only want to be a 2nd wife to a rich man not a poor one. Btw ppl who criticize Islam for allowing this don’t realize that many married men of other religions cheat and have mistress which is legal in most countries. But marrying and giving both wives legal rights is illegal in most countries. There are many women who are single and want to be married and have children but there aren’t enough eligible single men. So it’s allowed in Islam as a solution to social problems since women outnumber men in most countries and men die in wars etc. it says in Islam that if you can’t treat them equally then just marry one. So men who treat both wives badly are actually not following Islam so it has nothing to do with Islam. If someone doesn’t follow Islam correctly then it’s not religion fault. Of course all religions have ppl who do bad things but ppl blame the person not their religion. So be honest and do the same with Islam.
