I used to watch Hercules a lot when I was kid. I’ve seen both versions you’ve done of this song. Being a metal head I’m partial to the first version you did. That being said this version is absolutely amazing in its own right. I feel like this speaks for all the kids who watched it and have grown up. Excellent work my man, keep doing what your doing.

Absolute favorite Disney song . Your voice just makes it so much better. As a kid I felt I was in a world not meant for me . As a kid this song spoke to me on a level I can't describe and I would always go to watch this movie during tough times. Now I'm 31 years old going through a pretty bad rough patch and didn't realize how badly I needed this song and this popped up right at the top and now I'm singing and crying at work. Thank you Payton Parrish for all of your music and your passion.

Mate, this is so stunning. Your voice is magnificent and just brings this song to life! Hercules is one of my fave Disney movies, and you've totally done it justice AGAIN!
What I really appreciate about this version is that percussion is never brought in. Usually by the 2nd verse people do that. But this is a song about an inner determination and a longing that is so close to the heart, and all you need to convey that is the piano and your own voice. It stays incredibly strong and tender at the same time. Thank you for this!

Hercules is my absolute favorite Disney movie of all time. This cover is so beautiful and I swear, I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes when I heard this for the very first time. The visulas, music, his voice, and the piano convey everything that the lyrics themselves are saying. I grew up in a house that lacked in love and found myself being abused in all forms by both of my parents. I always knew I wanted out and to find "where I belong". I watched Hercules growing up and I always cried hearing him sing this because I knew I needed to get out, too. I finally got out. I cut ties with both of my parents, have an amazing husband, came out as Pansexual, and I have a beautiful son. 🩷 All because I went the distance.
