Do we have an alternative way to swithTo frame2 without moving to parent Frame? Using parentFrame, I'm able to access the frame2 2. It is working exactly how it should be. If you want to switch from one frame to another then we have to look at the relationship with that frame. Like in frame3 we have frame1 and 2. Frame3 is parent frame for 1&2. So from frame3 you can switch to frame1 or frame2 directly but from frame1 to frame2 you can't switch directly because they share sibling relationship. There is no alternative solution for this bro. This is the actual behaviour of frames.

Hi sir, You have entered direct ID values in switch command instead of writing the xpath.... driver.switchTo().frame("frm1"); But not like the below format driver.switchTo().frame(driver. findElement(By.xpath("//[@id='frm1']")); Note point here is that you have written in double quotation of the locator value i.e., "frm1" Please reply me why applying like this and why you can't apply this format in other side instead of frames... Also pls tell, How to check the number of frames present in the page.... So that i can use the frame index... Thanks
If you don't have the id or name for that frame then u need to use the webelement. You can find the frames using // xpath but it won't consider the nested frames.

You can pass webelement reference also to switchTo.frame() method, so if you can create a webelement reference then you can use anything.
why we dont go direct frame 2 to frame 1?
