- Nate, Blitz, and I head into Ozette Lake. This Lake has been on my kill list for several years now. This was some what of an emotional hike for me, for the first time on trail I felt my age. I hope the video does the beauty of this lake justice.

Looked like a rough spot to hammock camp. Were you & Nate tossing each other around just from moving in your hammock?
Rough spot for sure but worth it. YEAH ...occasionally I would wake up when Nate would move. Was like a water bed. However, it was worse for him...at my advanced age I get up in the middle of the night to pee a lot. 🤪
Feeling your age hit home. We did Flower Creek Trail to Sky Lakes in the Cabinet Mountains two days ago. Lots of downed trees and felt like I was 80!
Yeah...its my knees...plus I just had a co worker and a close friend die. Then of course watched the new Indiana Jones movie... and my my...how 40 years flies by. I think emotionally I was going threw alot. But I now understand why KoBe Bryant was icing his knees towards the end of his career.

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm trying to do an easy hike . ...then a hard hike ...then easy then hard. I would totally suggest Ozette for solitude. Where I am going this weekend the Lake is not pretty I'm going for the scenery... and an added bonus was scoping the area tonight (10 miles from my home) and spotted a giant black bear on the ridge coming down for water.

That was filmed with a DjI mini 2, I have since upgraded to the mini 3 since it has obstacle avoidance .
