sTaNd CLeaR of The doOrS pLEaSe: Old 🛗 Otis lifts/elevators 🛗 - Bank tube station, London England

16 November 2021. This traction elevator set may be on its last legs (2 of 4 were inactive) but it’s not common anymore to find Otis Lexan lifts anywhere on a transit system like this in the City of London.
These elevators serve the Northern line, whose Bank station will close for months in mid-2022 to open a new platform later in 2022. Hopefully this elevator survives.

That’s interesting. I thought all these old lifts on the Underground were gone! It looks like these ones have been modernised a bit though. Those doors look new to me.

oh that is cool its such a shame that only 2 out of 4 of them were working that means they most likely would modernize them probably with those crap generic buttons they have up there

Yeah, I thought they were all gone too. It looks like they just did some light mods on these ones instead of modernising them. They have fitted new doors, but kept everything else original which is strange to see. I wonder how long they will remain like this.

Unfortunately, the doors was being replaced and replace elevator motoring, guess it is! It's just sad that these doors cause failed attempts! What a shame these elevators are like modern of those doors! :( ​@allrighter0413
