We're back again with another update on our project A90 Toyota Supra and this time we've turned our attention towards the exhaust system. Upgrading the exhaust system, especially on a turbo charged vehicle such as the A90 Supra is a great way to not only give it an incredible sound, but greatly improve the performance of it as well.
When it came to upgrading the exhaust on our Project Supra we went with a complete turbo-back setup using a high-flow Downpipe from Armytrix and combined it with the Dual Stainless Steel Catback Exhaust from HKS. This combination will not only give us the absolute best performance, but will make the Supra sound like an absolute animal!
The HKS System features an 85mm (3.35in) center-pipe and 119mm (4.69in) Titanium exhaust tips that improve exhaust flow, while perfectly filling up the rear of the bumper with the larger exhaust tips. Another big advantage to using the HKS Exhaust System is that it allows us to retain the same functionality of the factory exhaust valves. This means that we can still open and close the valves on the HKS exhaust by simply pressing the "SPORT" button.

On the dyno comparing to our previous baseline we saw a huge improvement in performance with nearly 60ft/lbs of Torque and 20hp gained due to increased exhaust flow from the Armytrix High-Flow Performance Race Downpipe and HKS Catback Exhaust.
The car is also equipped with our VRTuned ECU Flash giving the car a huge increase in performance and adding additional pop and bangs on deceleration. See more on this ECU Flash here www.vividracing.com/tuned-ecu...

This is the best sounding exhaust I have heard so far on the A90. The difference is the deeper tones heard when the engine is under load and at idle. Pure adrenaline is found here!! This is my next mod, you have me sold!

So you saying a car built w bespoke chassis developed entirely by in-house engineers, is less special than a car simply copied from another manufacturer w different body shell and slight tuning? You are crazy. Maybe the name “supra” and exterior is more of your taste. But specialness stops there.

MasutaQuez yes copied. Bmw did entire engineering of chassis & engine. Literally entire hardware of supra has “bmw” stamp on it. Toyota pretty much bought z4 and put hardtop on it + their own tuning.

I have a civic type R and just pick my 2021 supra and pics n videos dont make justice,you need to see this car right in front of you and the driving experience is something else.The civic feels like a 1995 ex compared to this new supra,power potential is amazing and i can tell down the hwy when v8 guys feel intimidated and they should,a simple tune and a nice downpipe will get you 500hp.But the hate on this car is evErYwhErE but who cares,step on it and see ya later.

What they don’t tell you is that almost all of these gains were from the downpipe. The exhaust from the catback doesn’t give that much gains.
That's usually how it works. A tune would be better if you really want to add some power.
