I don’t care what anyone says. I don’t think any other Mario game can top this amazing finale (even though it really isn’t the end of the game). And the song, “Lead the Way,” was PERFECTION to this.
Peach is now my favorite character. Sure she's basically a damsel in distress but at least she can say no to boys even when they were literally shoving flowers in her face and pressuring her to choose one. Plus, SHE GOT A COOL HAIRSTYLE. I really like her hair in this and I hope she keeps it this way although I know she probably won't. Honestly I thought she was kind of a badass when she rejected them and walked away instead of being pressured to choose one just because one saved her multiple times and the other one just really likes her.

I don’t personally like this ending. I mean, Peach just leaves Mario on the moon after all of his hard work. In the inevitable Mario Odyssey 2, Pauline better take Peach’s place as the damsel in distress. Then, at the end of the game, Mario and Pauline should marry each other, and Peach should watch them and cry, contemplating her life choices.

Anybody else notice how Bowser shrinks in the end cutscene? He’s a goliath who’s able to easily carry Peach on his shoulder in the escape sequence, but he’s barely taller than her shortly after. I know the Koopas have magic, and that Bowser’s size is inconsistent across games, but it’s still strange...
The fact bowsers hair is all fancy is kinda funny, but now I’m envisioning a scene where the koopas are just getting bowser ready for the wedding on stools.
