Quite a while ago I was feeling lost and somehow I was not enjoying development work anymore, but seeing your chill approach to work-life balance made me rethink what I should actually value and since then I started to take care of myself, and consequentially my work performance and efficiency improved and my love for programming has returned :) I intend visiting Switzerland in the future, and who knows, perhaps I will find job opportunities there sooner or later. Is English enough to pass by? I haven't spoken French in over a decade, and German is completely foreign to me. Thank you for sharing a slice of your life to us and I wish you the best!

Hi Daniel. Nice video as always :) Regarding the question, I think it's ok to model the frontend based on the user role, as long as, the backend is properly secured and checks the role per endpoint. What I mean by this is the following: Let's say you have the role "user" and you tamper with the frontend to make it think you have the role "admin". Now you can see the admin page but trying to use admin only functionality shouldn't work because you have that check on the backend. So it's imperative to validate the user role for each endpoint. On the other hand, the redirecting approach is simpler to implement and keeps the frontend simple as you will have a different page per role. So I think I prefer the backend approach, but my opinion is biased since I don't really enjoy frontend as much as backend. Also, I recently got hired in Switzerland! Got any tips for a first time immigrant?
