People are giving Ange way too much credit. It's not like Jose and Conte never played any youngsters at all during preseason. It depends a lot on the players available, and how bloated the overall squad is. The quality of our youngsters at the moment are also much better than they were during Mourinho and Conte's time.
Spurs should sign him on a big contract. And ease him slowly into games. Don't rush him. His body is still growing and in the PL one major injury can break a young talent. I'm sure Ange will give him minutes in the first time but would not surpirse me if Moore just plays in the under 21s for season.
Arsenal overplayed Jack Wilshire in his breakthrough season and he became incredibly injury prone afterwards picking up stress fractures in his feet, etc.
If you're good enough , you're old enough and strong enough , ans Moore is more than good enough , and he has been playing against older presumed stronger players all his career . The boy is a rare gem .
Moore has to play this season. Introduce him as 2nd half sub initially and give him starts in Europe & cup games. He looks class and could become our next Bale dare I say!
One other facet he has: decision making. Some players spend their entire career trying to learn how to make better choices on the ball. He has it in spades. At 17.
Mikeys bones are still growing and so is his body, let him build and grow for another year as we don't want another burn out at 24/5 years of age which happens to players so young put into matches that stress them to much
He's just 16. In 10 years we'll be 10 years older, and he'll just start reaching his peak at 26. It'll be crazy to imagine if he'll start to get first time minute next season, meaning we'll be watching him for a long long time.
The young talent we have makes the future look very bright, I hope they get played and given the chance to grow into the first team. Would rather have a homegrown talent than some expensive player that never lives up to expectations in the squad.
@@wayneashton he is 16 and still raw. If Spurs do this right they will have him play in the 21s next season. Give him some first time minutes and really take care of him on and off the pitch. Make sure he doesn't let ego take over. Try and keep the marketing down and pressure of him. Really think that's what helped Kane. He was a talent but media attention was low around him witch ment he kept his head and kept working hard..
Forget all this “ease them in slowly” nonsense. If they’re good enough they’re old enough, and he looks like one of the most gifted in the squad. Yamal just won the European cup at the same age. He needs to acclimatise to first team football as soon as possible, that’s how he will improve fastest. Put him in!
Lamine Yamal and mikey Moore are the same age? Then hope he gets as much play time as possible to get the best development for him. And we must give him a big and long contract. COYS. COYS. Thanks for the good video and analytics.
I don't see it as a question of Ange "unlocking Moore's ability". That ability is already there and already being expressed. Rather it's a question of maximizing it, i.e., bringing it to its full potential. Cristiano Ronaldo debuted at 16 for Sporting Lisbon; Rooney ditto when he debuted for Everton against us and scored; Lamine Yamal, who only turned 17 three weeks ago, was one of the stand out players at Euro 2024. The real question here, in light of pre-season performances so far, is whether Ange has the courage to stand by the maxim, "If you're good enough, you're old enough."
Not surprised to see this, at Celtic, Ange used several attacking midfield/winger type players up front, rather than a traditional centre forward. The difference at Spurs seems to be we have great young players coming through, whereas both old firm teams have bought in foreign talent. Maybe transfers aren't the answer.
Mental that this kid isn't even 17 at the time of writing! I'm not exaggerating when I say I think he's our best winger at the moment. He is by far the best ball carrier. His ability to strike the ball or find a cheeky pass looks miles better than Werner, Johnson and Soloman. Son is obviously the best player we have in front of goal and probably has the biggest engine to boot, but he's pretty limited with the ball at his feet by comparison.
I know mine comment might be out of the geenral line here but imho we should not be crowing about young Mikey UNTIL AFTER he has signed pro contract terms with us which happens in the next couple of weeks, fingers crossed. There are too many vulture-like clubs circling him right now.
He actually has quite decent pace, his acceleration is particularly good actually. Not sure where you'd gather that from. Also, at his age, and with the quality training facilities and team physio team around him, you'd expect him to gain a bit more on top
Conte and Jose would never of played these youngsters in pre season, so I am giving Ange credit for having a proper look at them in pre season

Another excellent video analysis.
Nice video....good breakdown.
Surprised no one suggested yet 2026 world cup Donley left back, grey in the middle, Moore left wing and Lankshear upfront
Isn't Donley Irish though..?
