I have learned a lot from you over the years, and I thank you. Every time you put the dog in the videos, it always makes me smile. Keep up the good work.
Hiya Greg, awesome video and it's great too see your out and about..... you had a great parking spot, and Shelby was having a great time too. Hey I didn't see any skeeters surrounding you either. Can't wait to see the next video when you find some better clusters of beautiful stones. I hope you have a awesome blessed day and Shelby too. Cya! 😺🐟 out!
Looks who’s back. Thanks for everything. As an animal lover I was hoping blackie there was fine. Heading to thunderous by soon, as my eastern bros can say. Looking for mega mins. Keep posting. Ty.
It was a mild winter here this year but reminded us that it is still around yesterday. Temp dropped to -8C with snow (whiteout conditions on the roads) and high 60 K winds.
Wonderful! Great finds. Thank you for sharing with us! That last one, I would want to coat in a clear coat. Keep it wet looking. Gotta get you a little foam cut to put into a mayonnaise jar with water so you can shake clean check.
Wow! Gorgeous! I love Shelby-she reminds me of my black lab mix I had for 18 years! I also love the way you talk. Very pleasant tone. Thank you for sharing your adventures! ❤ PS: The geology up there is amazing! Also also, did you know ground up apatite was used as paint on the Chinese Terracotta army?
18 years for a lab is exceptional. I lost Daisy recently and she was 13. I didn't know that about apatite. I think here it was harvested for potassium for fertilizer, but they stopped doing that when caves with bat poop was cheaper.
@@meMiner I’m so sorry for Daisy! I lost a boxer/mastiff mix and a golden within a year of each other within the past 3 years-just 10 and 11 years old! Mica (lab mix was talking about earlier) had some hound or something in her, so I think that helped her longevity.
Could you make a tutorial on how to extract quartz from granite? I right now have a few rocks of granite I’m laying on right now, and there is exposed quartz. I’m really trying to find an acid that won’t dissolve quartz but will dissolve any other rock.
Either is fine. Sometimes more comfortable if the sun isn't pounding down on you but in this location there are trees to help with that. Better to go when there has been a few days of dry weather so it isn't so muddy
@@meMinerI was wondering about Daisy also. So sorry to hear about her passing and sending my condolences to yourself and your family. She was such a sweet dog, may she rest in peace at rainbow bridge 🌈❤

Missed watching these great adventures. Thank you.
Very happy to see you back. Because our winter lasts about 36 to 48 hours, I forget that you have long, cold winters that keep you out of the field. .

A fun piece for sure and I will see what to do with it after cleaning it better
Very cool
Some awesome finds! Great work!
If you have to decide on one or the other, in my humble option, the smart mine is better.
Didn't know that spot was there, going to have to check it
Nice prospecting trip and the doggie loved it. See you next time.😷⚒
Thanks 👍
Glad you are back collecting.
Me too!
Man... so jealous that you get to go to sites like that!
YES! :)

Nothing that I know but maybe you could google mineral solubility table to see what minerals are affected or not affected by different acids
Hi! From the Ottawa Valley! Is it easier to explore on a sunny day or overcast?
Either is fine. Sometimes more comfortable if the sun isn't pounding down on you but in this location there are trees to help with that. Better to go when there has been a few days of dry weather so it isn't so muddy
Beware of Mud Season. The dirty stepsister of Winter and Spring!
true that
Nice video! ❤ the dog. Stay warm it looks cold. Is it glacier till? Or fault lines converging?
Not glacial for sure
Calcite vein-dikes.
Very beautiful sir 🚩🇮🇳
How far is the smart mine from there
They are a distance apart. Smart is a ways north of Bancroft and this is about a half hour south and west of Bancroft
Thank you Greg
Where from, eh ? 😁👍
what happened to daisy
She passed away recently.
Sorry, sad😢, the memory lives on...❤@@meMiner
