Nice work guys safe travels looking forward to watching the rest of the trip I’m a local from ararat and ride when I can great roads around this way and all the way to Horsham and beyond you will love it take care guys 💪💪💪
Dudes, my little nephew is proper obsessed with trains so I’ll have to sit and watch Lawrence’s vid with him. He’ll get a proper kick and maybe it’s his gateway into bikes
You're smashing it guys, that's good pace through that nasty weather. Lawrence isn't worried about the lighting because he's on a plastic bike, but you are on a fair conductor so I can see why you would be worried. Pretty country though, nice to see the windmills and the cows. Need more dogs though.
"...didn't even bring a gilet." Plonker! I mean, sure, it is heatwave season of our Summer but rain once every four days is not far off a rule of thumb. Rain shower rides are kind of mandatory for an epic adventure. Boominess adds atmosphere. The zapperydoo be less welcome. I do enjoy sitting out on a deck under an awning with an Irish coffee and a mint slice or Tim Tam just kicking back and watching a thunder storm roll through.
Boys!!! What town was your first , or even second, stop in? Country towns for sure would have a charity shop where you could have picked up a 2nd hand rain jacket! And probably had a nice chat with one of the CWA ladies, who might even have had a knitted woolen vest for you! 😂
Mate it is "Ar- a- rat". Not "Arat". 😅 Great ride. That rain was insane on Sunday. We were coming up from Melbourne to mum's place in Ballarat (literally across the road from the Western Hotel - could have given you free accom) and just East of Ballarat the storm hit so hard all the cars on the freeway stopped!

In those conditions, i would say that's a good day.
Now we know who the guys standing on platforms photographing trains are - it’s bike packers making movies.
😂😂😂
Tops team. Enjoying this immensely.
Inspiring lads!!!
Loz had a gilet all along! He's cruising....
😂😂😂
A good days ride.
It's Ara-rat boys, love watching your travels!

@@burgess_and_his_bike I predict more train related bike trips in your future haha!

Dang! I thought you were actually trying to catch the train to get on it. Oh my goodness. Safe travels. Beautiful filmmaking.
Chapeaux keep it up, any change to the speed wobble from day 1?
Plenty of tinkering I’ve managed to reduce it quite a lot! Most lowering as much weight as possible and moving any weight on the rear forwards

Not a bad idea that haha
I guess I should have brought a jacket
Next time
Thanks Ollie and Lawrence , not a train spotter , eh ? Be safe !!
You can't live in Melbourne and not be prepared for 4 seasons in a day 😂
Mate the state of the way you pronounce 'Ararat' 🤣
😂😂😂
You mean you didn't even get on the train?

Wearing black on country roads is crazy.
