With respect you are talking nonsense, the anthem is half Maori & half English. Mostly it is sung by either Lizzie Marvelly or the one & only Nick Afoa & then there is of course Moses Mackay. Now these 3 people happen to have Maori or Pacifica heritage, and I think its great that they are chosen to sing our anthem, but I do believe & hope it is because of their outstanding singing abilities that they are chosen to perform & not just because of their heritage. Maori are well represented when it comes to singing our anthem at All Blacks games.
The irony is that although Lizzie has a nice voice she endorses a co-governance structure between Maori and the Crown which is NOT what the Treaty of Waitangi was about - her ideology is total anti-thesis to the words of our National Anthem sung by her which is ALL about UNITY not separatism or ridiculous notions of partnership which spawn from that. Advancing division is what Lizzie represents , special treatment based on her fractional part Maori DNA. Lizzie unfortunately harms all people of NZ with her separatist insanity.
Has had an absolutely privileged silver spoon upbringing most of us could only wish for. Has never known lifes hardships yet is completely opionated and loudmouthed writing those terrible pieces in whatever rag will publish it. This girl is whats wrong with society and she hasnt had any further success because fakeness will only get you so far.

This is the most beautiful National Anthem in the world.
It is good, but the Dutch and German ones are superior in my view. I like the Russian one as well.
