Man, for 1997, the greyish tint and realistic animations were insane. Things like the way scientists were trembling when pointing a gun at them was never seen before, the music is fantastic, the multiplayer was insanely fun, discovering things without the internet like cheat codes or 007 mode was such a treat etc. It was an amazing experience for that year. No wonder it was voted game of the year.
@@dariusus9870 you've only explained half of it. It's just insane the way it was so experience. Let's not forget the game that came after. Perfect dark. Not as good in the main game. But the multiplayer was just absolutely insane
"GoldenEye 007" was huge in the late 90s; I seriously think that literally all my friends in school owned a copy of it, or at least had played it. It was pretty much the first-person shooter equivalent of "Super Mario Bros.".
It's hard to convey the swell of warmth and joy I feel every time I hear "my friends..." Ryan could create a grass tier list and I'd still hang on every word.
The idea of a 1000-hour time is simply unfathomable to me, as someone who hates grinding for a time. My longest grinds so far have been 63h, then 47h, then 15-20h - all of them an order of magnitude under 1000 hours - but, generally speaking, if a time would take me more than 10 hours to get, I would rather just wait until something new gets found or I improve my overall skill. I would much rather spend 1000 hours strat-hunting so that *everyone's* times become faster or easier. (Only just now got around to watching this episode, but I had to comment on that, maybe one day I'll find this comment again and maybe I'll have reached 100h on a time myself.)
Would like to see a gunlore, techlore (pal, ntsc technical stuff), multiplayer lore, if there are actual runs on custom levels, 00 agent full game lore. :)
DLTK Speedlore is fascinating. It’s been amazing watching it go from being a completion exercise to speedrunning with various optimisations. And that big room YOLO was insane!!! 🤯🤯
Dude, frigate day! A lot of records. Untied cradle Agent got uploaded, Aces untied, Clem passing Ace's segment, the 24 hour run by Sammo, and then Clem v Irie on Frigate enemy rockets where Irie unties the record and Clem ties it towards the end of his stream. You should probably do a video about this last weekend, just as a standalone. Hope you were able to enjoy it, it was fun seeing you in the chats.
The thing is, upon further thought, I think it's really just as simple as Dam, and only Dam! But yeah, I could demonstrate an example of Dam perhaps, that might be cool!
