A beast of an album. IMO the best in Pestilence’s discography. Martin’s vocals were at their ferocious best. I was so lucky to see them perform this live back in the day.
Back in 1989, when I first heard it, I knew I would love this album for the rest of my life ... today I am 35 years older and still listen to it ... and always excitedly await "out of the body" :)
A masterpiece of classic, true old school Death Metal. What the hell were these dutch fellas drinking back then in the late 80's/early 90's to come up with (in my opinion) flawless Death Metal beasts like this one, Asphyx's "Last One on Earth" or Sinister's "Hate". So damn good.
I just lissened to the original (and this is relly not dissing or something and Im a fan of pestilence) but the original sounds way more brual more low end more punch, this remaster sounds less aggressive they put up only te middle tones in the front I think...
One of my favorite albums of all time! Classic, absolute masterpiece!

It's hard to believe that it's been 35 years since the premiere! Still kicking ass
THE BEST death metal album of the 80s!
Tastes are different, but this one is absolutely chanceless against "Scream bloody gore " or "Leprosy ".
@@thomasfleischer83 I could rank Leprosy as the best as well, but I like this just slightly better.
@@necro_carnage Altars of madness?

Gorefest-False, The Gathering-Always, Bluurgh-In my Embrace...
Taking one of the best albums ever, and then making it sound like shit. Yep, sounds like something Pestilence would do.
