I feel happy that, as an adult nerfer, I can guide my cousin towards making better decisions for buying blasters and ammo for her kids. My cousin's daughter and I shoot for fun once in a while, so they defer to my judgment when it comes to birthdays and holidays for gift ideas for blasters and accessories. I told my cousin and my mom that the Ultra blaster(s) and ammo are horrifically overpriced and have too many issues (Including it being so easy to break or damage the darts to the point of being unusable), and that a Stryfe or Nailbiter would be far better for the kids. Definitely keeping my eyes out for more in the Accustrike line for myself (I still want an Accutrooper and Stratohawk), as well as a good Stryfe (Battle Camo Stryfe from Wal Mart looks good) and a few choice blasters besides.
Its an older blaster now from the battle camo (blue "camo") era. Think of two two-shot pistols about the size of a hammershot or strongarm, but they each have a totally flat plane on one side which interlocks with the other with little hooks, so that they can be fired shotgun style (two darts at once) as a single blaster.
Nah what's bad is when Walmart removed the price for it and put in behind the RS or put on top shelf laying down... with adventure force ammo in front of them.
Boomco only failed, because of their poor marketing. They never pointed out any of the dart's strong points (i.e. better than Accustrike accuracy at high fps). Also, their blasters and darts seemed a bit too expensive (MSRP) when they weren't even the industry lead.
It's a shame, I wanted to like the Ultra line. My first impression on the blaster was one with excitement, I love revolver blasters, with stocks, and on blaster storage. Plus I absolutely love that color scheme and it's present on like 2 of my top 5 favorite blasters. Shame they had to ship it with the worst ammo known to man.
I really love this video, not because he is showing bad blasters but because he is saying a lot of important things of why the blaster is bad and how hasbro and buzzbee can improve on their future blasters to make everyone happy

I bought a couple of ultra blasters for my younger siblings for Christmas and I think they’re a lot of fun because of how hard they shoot compared to the stock elite blasters we’ve had laying around forever. They’re pretty to look at and fun to fire off, especially for someone who’s not really into the hobby outside of it being just a casual game once in a while. But god the ammo is terrible, I’m very disappointed in the darts. At least one or two break every time we take the guns out , and that’s extremely frustrating. I think this line was supposed to be a compromise between dart blasters and rival, which the blasters themselves succeed at to a surprising extent, but the quality of the ammunition is what’s holding it back.
Thank you for being so brutally honest, because Hasbro needs to be taken to task. As a Transformers fan, I love the crap out of Hasbro and that's why I f**king hate Hasbro sometimes. Hasbro is capable of dropping absolute hammers Transformers siege and a good majority of rival blasters (Knock out being a recent example of just a damn good blaster) but then they do a line like Titans return (TF) or Alpha strke and I just have to ask why? Why is it that you're able to make complete trash one year, completely redeem yourself next line, only to release more trash the very next line. It's why we have a 600 dollar Unicron that next to no one can afford, instead of the 100 dollar one we've been begging for at least a decade. It's why you guys get 100 dollar trash like the titan (2019) instead of the performance based big ticket blaster you want. HASBRO I WANT TO LOVE YOU, BUT YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART! Stop trying to be the suppah leet toy gangsta, and just make good toys that we can all afford and love. Bit of a rant but hey this is the brutal honesty channel right?
I am glad the Alpha Strike Cobra didn't make the list because it is one of my favorite pistols. It's basically just an old-school "Nite-Mav" mod that Nerf decided to make and sell and I like them.
RED? you are still into red reserve? that thing is dead! they are so notorious for not paying their players! why would you want that on your profile pic?
Good products (in any industry or art-form) tend to get more press by default, making the best choices more obvious to everyone. That's why it's inherently more intriguing to listen to a critic's worst-list.
Ok, so for the ultra darts. Out of springers, they're really decent. I fire them out of my sledgefire and hammershot, and I put them above all other hasbro made ammo... other than accustrike. Flywheelers are notoriously inaccurate, especially stock. The blaster was a disappointment, however. I like the ammo. Toabao has the ultra darts 25 for 3.54, or about 14 cents a dart.
Purchased the Ultra One for my nephew for Christmas. Still have the receipt. Would you recommend it for an 8 year old? Purposely avoided the Rival series because I don't want him shooting his younger brother. I know it fails in comparison to other blasters on the market, but would he still enjoy it?
I would return it and give him literally any other dart blaster, The Dart Zone Magnum is a fantastic value and a better performing product with no batteries required. If you want an electronic blaster, snagging a stryfe is a killer deal on amazon still.
@@LordDraconical Thanks for the advice. Will look into those options. The younger brother may be off limits, but I still plan on ambushing the older one with my Hades if he forgets.
Thank you, and to others that have reviewed the Nerf ULTRA, that I have had several opportunities to steer uninformed shoppers away from purchasing the ULTRA One, not that it needed any of my assistance, because most shoppers' tracks are halted when they see the MSRP and quickly move on. Most don't really have the time to read the claims that the packaging boasts about. I mainly intervened when I see them pick up the box and seriously examine the words for any reason. Depending on what their budget can handle and how the nerfer they are buying for will use the product, in most cases I steer to a blaster that has the most value for their buck. Which most of the time, it's either a Zuru, Dartzone, Air Warriors, or an Adventure Force performance blaster out-of-the-box, like the Meteor and/or Orbit (if you can find them on the shelves), the Savage Spin and/or the V-Twin (w/o the "wings" attached), and The Destructor and/or the Agitator (if you're in Target). Merry Christmas Drac.
Everything Awesome i never had an issue with the titans mag.. hell that was the main reason I bought it... as for the Blaster it’s slower than a rapidstrike or a hyperfire but it’s decent It looks so badass though with that motorized barrel
its decent looking but idk if its that good listening to drac say its bad. but ya know. like what you want to like, dont care about people judging you.
The V-Twin is an amazing under the radar Big Boy by Dart Zone in the Adventure Force Line not very war practical but I love plinking around with mine and the fire rate is awesome!! It puts the Titan to shame!!
Okay Drac, I am going to take you up on this - I am going to guess that the worst blaster of 2019 is Nerf Nitro yet again? Yea, I’ll stand by it 😬 PS nope I got it wrong! Damm that Ultra One ... what the hell were they thinking 😆
I've recently seen a "all Xshot entry level plinking blasters in one box" pack at a Sam's Club for this year's Foam Blaster for Christmas thing and I've realized that Nerf isn't even trying that hard to making themselves to be the 'better difference' in terms of all of the similar blasters between the two, thinking that Brand Flexing would win out. Like, Xshot has a 4 round revolver, 6 round revolver, and a shotgun, all of which Nerf has made analogues to, kinda. The Fang (What I call the analogue to the 4 round revolver) at least tries to bring the Smart AR system to a cheaper pricepoint, but there's already the Quadrot. The Alpha Strike and Ultra lines speak of desperation to me, honestly, like they don't have a lot of lines to maintain at the same time (According to Nerf Wiki 20+! Across not only the main Elite, Zombie Strike, Mega, and Rival lines, but all of the promotional lines and the revival of the Vortex and Doomlands lines as a Target exclusive, Vortex feeling like a temporary thing as all of it went on clearance before the Ultra One launched, at least by me)

Drac, the Nemesis is both a juggernaut and top-notch performance based blaster with TERRIFIC ergonomics! So that way, EVERYBODY WINS. Also I use a red nemesis which I actually have.
Blasters I wish Nerf/ Hasbro would make (but never will unfortunately): Nerf N-Strike Elite 2.0 Omega Trooper CS-18: Take the basic EAT, give it a new paint job, the Delta Trooper's button style magazine release, an 18 round stick magazine, and a new remake of either the Raider or Lightning Storm (Worker) stock. Nerf N-Strike Elite 2.0 Spitfire CS-25 Reskin of the Rampage. Give it the Battlescout AFG, Raider stock, and a barrel attachment point (like the Accutrooper). Nerf N-Strike Elite 2.0 Shellshock DS-15 Take the basic idea of the Zombie Strike Sledgefire and make it compatible with the Trilogy/ Shellstrike shells. Reshell it into a more Elite looking shell and you've got a great shell-based shotgun.
Is the titan any better or become a ‘’true machine gun’’ on like vang revamps and 2s? Or OOD Krakens on 3s? Then it might actually be a large style Hyperfire?
The ultra one was so bad, I forgot it even existed. I'll continue saying this as I feel like it's the root of the problem. It's the accountants. Their accountants are taking over and only revenue speaks to them. When they want something, they'll "adjust the budget" to make the other departments fall in line with what they want. And upper management is letting them do it because the revenue is better (so far). But looking at short term vs long term, yes, short term, the revenue is better, but long term, they'll have thrown away all the good will and trust they have earned. This applies to all Hasbro brands and their subsidiaries. Tl;dr: Hasbro is sitting on their laurels and letting the accountants do too much of everything.
I disagree with the Ultra One being #1. It should have been #0, as in how many people should buy it. The only way I would ever consider getting it is at Goodwill or when it's on clearance at Walmart for $5.
Only thing im interested in the alpha strike line is the hammerstorm. 8 shot revolver for 15, not too bad. Just gotta cut of some plastic lol, its pretty overbuilt on the underside

Take the basic EAT, give it a new paint job, the Delta Trooper's button style magazine release, an 18 round stick magazine, and a new remake of either the Raider or Lightning Storm (Worker) stock.
Nerf N-Strike Elite 2.0 Spitfire CS-25
Reskin of the Rampage. Give it the Battlescout AFG, Raider stock, and a barrel attachment point (like the Accutrooper).
Nerf N-Strike Elite 2.0 Shellshock DS-15
Take the basic idea of the Zombie Strike Sledgefire and make it compatible with the Trilogy/ Shellstrike shells. Reshell it into a more Elite looking shell and you've got a great shell-based shotgun.
That second blaster you showed I think that if you were to bit into it or apply too much pressure it would disintegrate 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
An Ultra One isn't even worth ONE dollar.
Can we get a video of you taking the Ultra One out to your backyard and going Office-Space-printer on it?
I like miniguns, I love the Vulcan with the chain and I nodded it to shoot as fast as the hyper fire, much farther and stronger.
I have a split strike, it really hurts to get your thumb stuck when you are putting it together. I still have the cast on after 2 weeks...
Only thing im interested in the alpha strike line is the hammerstorm. 8 shot revolver for 15, not too bad. Just gotta cut of some plastic lol, its pretty overbuilt on the underside
