  • Jeff always seems to need more space for his stuff. He needs someplace to store his Kubta U25 and the B26 So we are now adding a lean-to to the shop. We have help from my brother , Gary & his wife Jeanne. If you watched the video of us putting steel on the shop then you have already met them. We can't say how grateful we are for the extra hands. I love having them here whether we are working or not. Maybe next year they can just come up to relax.

Good video. I added a 10 foot by 50 foot long lean-to on my northern Idaho house late last year. The lean-to roof only has a 3 in 12 pitch to get enough height on the lower side.
But a problem that I didn't anticipate. I have a 6 in 12 pitch on house roof above the lean-to roof. Then when I had 3 feet of snow and the upper roof started to loosen up and slide onto the roof below I had a concerning situation. I ended up shoveling the lower roof several times that had almost 6 feet of now wetter and heavier snow piled on it. I guess that I should have somehow made the lean-to roof continuous and same or greater pitch as the upper roof or more like a barn gambrel roof. Oh well.

We will have the same issues I'm sure. We couldn't follow the roof pitch because it's 8/12. That would only have left us with about 4 feet high at 12 feet out. There will be plenty of shoveling going on here too. 😧

You need to make more rock videos ...

I've made a TH-cam channel dedicated to all the super ways U25 excavators can make a job easier. I suggest you check it out. I have designed and many attachments to get the most out of my machine. I need to add a video showing how to move much larger rocks than this with your machine.

It isn't the size of the rock, it's the weight of it. The rock is too heavy for the U25 to lift. We will definitely check out your channel. Thanks.

I agree, that is why I made a roller that attaches to my blade (transferring half the weight to the ground) that I use in combination with a claw (versus a bucket) that gives my machine the leverage and weight transfer capacity to move more than would normally be possible.
