EDIT 19/11/23 - today we lost Peter Spellos, who provided the voice of Alpha Trion for this film and was a very dear friend and mentor to myself and many others. Trion was everything that Pete was to me - someone who saw my potential and encouraged me to do my absolute best. I am privileged to have been part of his renaissance and legacy, and I hope his performance in this film can give others even just a glimpse of his skills as an actor, his passion as a teacher and his kindness as a friend. Farewell Sensei.

He is a cross between Peter Cullen and Liam Neeson. The voice acting is top draw in this. Better than WFC, and it shows just how bad that show was that a fan made show is better.

The fact that you have a well-written story with great action scenes and well likable characters, not to mention you got Gary chalk to actually play the voice of Hound is amazing I know that with your creative mind we will see even more great content from you and even better stories to come out of the Transformers Universe

When Gary chalk talks my heart flutters
Only 12 minutes in, and already this is better than most official series. Everyone did such a great job, and the fact that you got _GARY _*_SLAGGING_*_ CHALK_ to be a part of this should speak to the respect this deserves. The Ascensionverse grows, and my enjoyment continues on.

How is it that you can create such amazing content with stop-motion and figures, while the recent fully animated series turns out so mediocre?! The characters sound natural and lifelike, and you can feel every emotion they experience! And to have veteran Transformers voice actors portray respectable roles, too!
I was glued to the screen from start to finish it was that astounding! And it shows how much work and effort you've put into this. I eagerly can't wait for the next masterpiece that you produce!

As someone who stumbled across broken mirror near when it came out, your films have been consistently good for years, seeing you work with big names like garry chalk really feels like a well deserved culmination of that
Oh how well it's done!!! The TFP level is achieved! It just obliterates WFC Trilogy. That's just PRIME, that's just MEGATRON, that's just RATCHET and that's just what TRANSFORMERS is should be!
@NEW TRANSFORMERS WORLD I’d say Beast Wars or Animated level. Once you really start to look at TFP, you realize it’s a mediocre show with nothing but good animation ((which caused them to go over-budget)) and Knockout.

Pure awesomeness! It seemed to tackle a bunch of aspects of Siege and do them 100x better (and I actually liked the WFC Trilogy).
Also, I love when Megatron says “When you die, I want us to be even!” It was the first time that I was really reminded that this was a prequel, and that Optimus Prime’s final battle has already been fought. But that last part especially, “I want us to be even!” I’d never really thought of it before now that Megatron didn’t REALLY kill Optimus, Black Shadow did! Using Megatron as a puppet! And it was totally NOT even! How pissed Megatron must be right now! Black Shadow didn’t JUST take over his body and his army, he sullied Megatron’s greatest victory, the moment he’s been savoring since forever! Megatron is gonna freaking slag this scrap-heap when he breaks free!
Yeah that's a good point. I wouldn't go as far as to say black shadow killed Optimus. But it shows how far Megatron has fallen. Losing sight of his own goal

Plus it would explain why he left Starscream to die. Only an idiot would have someone Immortal killed, only to return as a ghost to poses there body. If anything Starscream is more useful to Megatron alive. Despite his tertiaries egotistic and cowardly nature, Starscream is a skilled fighter and marksman. If I whore Megatron, I'd honestly keep Starscream around instead of being an incompetent fool and kill him.

If I’m being honest, the Orion pax and Trion backstory was damn near perfect. The first meeting, the way they spoke, their ideals, I can see Trion action as sort as a father figure to Optimus since that day

Cybertron having weather is an interesting concept. The WFC trilogy was the first official TF media to have it iirc.
Hearing Gary Chalk as Hound is pretty neat. It's just nice to hear him voicing someone who ISN'T an Optimus.
It's not often when Cybertronians discuss their age in exact numbers. Being so long-lived as they are; i doubt they see any point in it.
That's a thing with the Vector Prime toy, and by extension; this Alpha Trion, it has such a simple transformation... Peg the arms into the waist, fold down the shoulder pads, rotate head, flip up backpack, extend out wings, fold legs around and peg the feet into the back.
Isn't that "Optimus" toy in the flashback actually an Ultra Magnus? Maybe the original Laser Optimus version of that mold couldn't be acquired. Also; shouldn't Optimus still be Orion pre-Matrix?
I'm still bummed about THAT Omega Supreme figure being the closest we ever got to an official toy for his WFC game iteration... There's always Planet X's Genesis figure but getting that is expensive.
You know, i'd totally forgotten about Power Core Combiners until i saw that CW Off-Road painted as Smolder stood outside the hideout. Technically i was reminded earlier by Drag Strip's appearance during the veteran's parade.

Prime's gun makes its G1 sound, as it should, and Megatron's cannon seems to make the noise Shockwave's one did during his first appearance in Prime.
I'm surprised Megatron's cannon didn't make them blow up... That's what it does in WFC/FOC.
Bit of world-building there; having Steeljaw be a species rather than an individual.
The weird whistling sound of those missiles is reminding me of frustrating WFC enemies...
Using an Arms Micron as a heavy cannon is quite smart tbh.

The music really feels like it’s truly desperate, and then Orion turns into Optimus Prime, the music gives off the feeling of a shining light in the darkness👏
I honestly would love too see more from the actual Cybertronian war, in any verse. Battles fought, won, and lost. The stories that tell us why certain characters are the way they are. What motivations do they have. The reasons the battles or the war can become personal for some, but keep in sight the larger picture for either side.
I guess all I really need to say is:

Pretty impactful movie! It does a sweet job of the theme of how one shouldn't get too caught up with the past at the expense of the future even if there's good intentions behind it.

There’s not much I can say praise wise that hasn’t been said already.
Great acting, animation that makes me jealous, great story, great choice of characters and casting, Gary Chalk obviously brilliant, really cool and imaginative use of weapons/props.
And yes, as everyone will say, it is genuinely better than the Netflix show, better passion, better story, better morals, better quality.
I absolutely love this continuity and plan to watch every part of it that comes out.

This was utterly amazing. The story was so simple, yet you used it to craft an even deeper story that highlighted the relationship between Optimus and Alpha Trion, whilst building the world of the Ascensionverse even further.
Plus, the fact you managed to get Garry Chalk and Peter Spellos on board to voice Hound and Alpha Trion respectively is astounding.
Though I have to ask: Were you channelling Korg from the MCU when writing his lines? Because I got that vibe when he was first introduced.
Regardless, every performance in this stop motion is phenomenal. The writing and direction is equally spellbinding. I've been a fan of your work since Ascension: Season 1, and with stories like this; it's shocking that you've not got more subscribers.
Keep up the fantastic work, man. I can't wait to see what other stories you create.

This was Awesome! Once again you made a transformer movie better than actual films. The story here is Incredible and I can't believe you got the voice of OPTIMUS FREAKING PRIMAL to voice one of your characters. He's a perfect fit for hound. But my favorite has to be Excellion. Hot Shot was my favorite character in Cybertron and possibly my favorite in the franchise. He doesn't get a lot of appearances thanks to characters like bots like Hot Rod, and Bumblebee, so I loved seeing him here. I can't wait to see this character again in your future videos.

This was a great movie! Bradley Frew does an amazing Optimus Prime, and I loved how much Getaway sounded like Korg! It was also nice to see obscure characters like Lancer and Sixgun get some love, and it's awesome that you got Garry Chalk and Peter Spellos on board as well.
The story was great as well, and further convinces me that Joe should actually write for Hasbro. It's certainly much better than most of their recent shows.
You really nailed the dying Cybertron look and feel, and I liked Excellion as well. He was such an interesting character, and it was nice to see how other Autobots were affected by Optimus' decisions. I'm actually hoping that Excellion returns in the future.
Finally, the Black Shadow tease at the end was a spectacular scene, and helped me understand more of his motives and why he does what he does in Ascension.
Overall, great writing, great story, engaging characters, and awesome setting. Keep up the amazing work, Joe!
And if anyone at Hasbro sees this, take some notes.
I know I'm a couple of days late, but I just now had time to watch this amazing movie. The story was kind of cool felt like the type of mission you'd send the wreckers for but this time Optimus went himself. The ending scene were Excellion confronted Optimus and decided to leave the Autobots was really good and both sides of the conversation had understandable motives and reasoning. I also like that the after credits scene tied into the main series and gave us one more little piece of the puzzle that is Black Shadow.
I'm a little late to this but this was the only time I could watch the movie in pure peace. Yet again an absolute banger. Always love watching Ascensionverse vids and this was no different. I have been so excited to watch this and I was not disappointed. This shattered my expectations well done!

The whole bumble bee live chat thing was one of the best things I've ever seen.
Holy shit bro, this was amazing. Such a simple story that felt epic. First off , great voice talent. Some of the best voices to bots I've heard. They sounded like professionals and added to the seriousness of the movie. Great camera work with sweet close up shots made it feel like big budget epic. And dont even get me started on the music, that shit had me locked on my screen. The flashback scenes with prime and trion were so good probably the highlight tor me. Watching trion realize how different and special prime is was pretty fucking great to watch. Kick ass action scenes mixed in with tragic deaths makes this movie stand out for me. Well done brother

This was absolutely amazing. Story, cinematography, sound, atmosphere... everything. The cast was amazing too. You always pay homage to the heart and spirit of Transformers and put them in stories we don't typically see (at least on the big screen).

Man this was an amazing movie, love the story, love the voice acting ( Bradley Frew did an amazing Optimus voice, he sounded a lot like Peter), the stop motion is awsome and the backgrounds are amazing, the soundtrack in the film is music to my ears ( I was really surprised that u brought back the Treadshot Prime theme and altered it to fit Optimus ). Also Exillion( is that the correct spelling ?) was my character in the film, him leaving the Autobots reminded me of Sasuke leaving the Leaf village in Naruto. I love this film, its a masterpiece, keep it up Joe !!!!!!!! Can't wait for ur next project
