I wonder what is the... "cognitive science" behind why such movements cause tingles because if you flailed anything in front of my eyeballs IRL, it would just be annoying. :'D
I've wondered that too, I know the human brain is hardwired to recognize hands because of how important they can be in communicating and emoting. My guess is it has to do with manipulating that instinct but anything further than that is beyond me
