Durgapur has lot of vacant spaces . It has lot of potential to be the 2nd IT hub of bengal . Kolkata will be overcrowded in years . We need a second city like Durgapur. Their is lot of potential as it has nearby airports as well good connectivity with Kolkata. Plus their is an education boom here as well . Many of the students come from nearby cites for getting a good education facilities here in Durgapur. Durgapur has good colleges like Nit ,BcRoy .... Durgapur has been more in to real-estate buisness & locailty. It used to have lot of manufacturing industries (core) small industries which have shut down...Their are few small it industries but it would be great if we can attract more it industry. I hope u share this points with any of your future videos.

In 2006, 2 aerotropolis projects were initiated by UPA1 govt. at Mohali/Chandigarh and Durgapur. That time cpim was part of upa1 so this project came to bengal..but as such nothing mentionable was happened here in last 17 years where as mohali aerocity has grown like anything, it completely changed the cityskape there with large housing, malls, high end hotels, commercials and all

I failed to convince my board of directors to open the 3rd unit in durgapur. What I have learnt buisnessmenn ( family owned) do not want to go out to other states unless it is very necessary. Every state gives subsidy , local politicians / union can be purchased, labour's can be shifted etc gets solved. But unless there is a will you cannot do it. Hence if bengal wants factory, locals have to take interest ,invest and start buisness. No other person will come and help.
You see Tamil buisness tycoons do not invest in Gujrat or North India.
There is another hope that if top bengali managers can convince board directors to invest in wb.
Hence comparison with mohali or other state cannot be done. Feels good that Andal is growing I use to come regularly to asansol.
More connectivity will help people like us to take their parents to their new homes from coal belt.
Vlog টা ভালো লাগলো। এখন রোজ 5 টা destination cover করছে। আমার বাড়ি দুর্গাপুর, তাই আমি প্রায় তিন বা চার মাসে একবার করে যাতায়াত করি। আরও ruote cover করবে, বিশেষ করে Indigo. International airport হতে গেলে Terminal building টা expansion করতে হবে।

However there r people who lives in Bengal n do negative comments about Bengal only without knowing actual fact. Hence sometime I do such comments for them.
If this airport needs to be second most important after NCBI Airport, it has to have a great connectivity between two cities. Like in NCR, a supper fast metro (Rapidex) is being build to connect Mirat with Delhi, and upcoming plans to have such lines till Manesar, Jaipur etc.
