How to get the otter to bring you pearls:
1.Have it following you
2. Set behavior to attack your target
3. Select target fish
4. Sick Otter on said fish
5. Watch Otter kill fish (it's glitching out where if your head isn't under water the otter will go up to the surface and do derpy derpy circles over your chosen fish)
6. Go up on land wait for Otter to bring you pearls.
Enjoy the adorableness!
Also, it's not 100% that you will get a pearl every time. Only a chance

You have to whistle attack on a fish and when it kills it and harvests its body it will collect pearls from it
And then Tag's heart exploded with cuteness overload. RIP.
use flak for the hats to give those poor otters some extra protection then try to only send them after coel....they have a hard time when the fish fight back...they will bring you pearls...if in the water they roll over and show you the pearl...if you are on land they stand up and present the pearl to you...it is otterly adorable!!!

You need to have the Otter on your shoulders then look at a fish and press F twice to make it attack. You will get silica pearls and black pearls from fish that way.

You must have otter on aggressive and throw it into the water , it will go kill a fish and then you have to whistle follow and bring it out the water . It will have pearls . Usually 1 black pearl sometimes more . Pearls always

they have to kill fish themselves to bring you pearls back. take them to nonagressive ones and have them attack. they do the most adoooorable animation so watch after they kill and eat the fish.

Put the Otter on Neutral. Make it Attack a Coel. It should give you Pearls and Black Pearls.

Put the otter on follow, then throw it into the water, make it attack a fish, step back and wait till it comes back with a silica/ black pear.

Can wild creatures have color mutations? I've seen some before that look to be mutated. Not sure though. Nothing crazy, but some with cool colors.
wild creatures cant have mutations without a mod. although some have rarer wild natural colors that you dont see often
i got a yellow and black stripe otter mutation and a pink stripe otter as well
You should use metal foundations it's easier to see smaller baby's
And u have to have him on follow and attack a fish and he will kill the fish then flip on his back and hold a pearl then it goes into his inventory

Try the harvest settings
All fish are terrified of the otter. When i tamed my the salmon fishes were jumping off the water because of them. To make the otter bring you a pearl you must whistle It to attack a fish.
So need a reddish belly with magenta stripe that or the white with blue but people always do that so
