- We take our first look at Elton John Pinball Machine by Jersey Jack Pinball. Designed by Steve Ritchie with stunning artwork by Christopher Franchi, this is the latest pinball release and is a real stunner.
Gonzo and Spencer take a look at the playfield and cabinet before switching the machine on for a quick game of doubles and a chat about the game.

Chris, it's amazing dude. You've captured it perfectly the font with the theatre lights for Elton John in the middle of the playfield is perfect. The blend of bright colours works so well. The Captain Fantastic on the side of the backbox might be my favourite thing. I'm glitter crazy too so really appreciate this.

The look on Spencer's face after his first play through should be a jersey jack ad for the game. You can see nothing but pure joy.

Not a machine I could ever afford - and I'm not a music pin fan, in any case - but this is an absolute work of art. The piano is just superb, one of the best uses of LEDs in any machine, for my money. I imagine it will be very successful.
Have to say; I have never found music pins appealing. This one had me smiling from ear to ear. I think it is a genuine classic music theme, much the same as a Bee Gee’s or an Abba theme would be. It’s difficult not to like it. In all honesty I drove an hour to Flipperama towers with half an idea that I would be disappointed; It delivered well beyond any expectation and genuinely lifted my soul. Doesn’t get better than that.
It takes getting used to that JJP’s take an initial picture right before you enter your name… and then when the screen brightens up upon entering “END”, it takes the official picture so don’t forget to pose as you hit the action button as you finish entering your name.
Did you all ever play godfather? Similar mechanics in terms of pictures and name entry as well as flipper responsiveness. Even the volume buttons and Bluetooth options are external and come preinstalled which is GREAT!
A picture of Gonzo takes some getting used to. I’ve been dealing with that ugly mug for 30 years and JJP wants to record it 😂
@RafConUSMC I've not played a Godfather yet but also heard the flippers were better on that too.

Holy cow!!!! Some don’t like the theme Elton John is a legend!!!! Thanks to your videos I went with Jurassic park home edition to save some money for other tables it’s a great deal & love it Foo fighters pro coming today I’m excited played before & loved it!!!! Of course the Elton John collectors I’m tapped dry had to get some financing but all in all think I selected 3 great tables wanted more then just my virtual pinballs blessed I’m able to make those purchases it’s very expensive hobby

Thanks for the video. I was at Pinball Expo '23 in Illinois in October and the lines to play JJ's EJ was never less than 15 people. I have yet to see one at any of the pinball joints I play at here in Chicagoland as of the end of December here. Pinball Map shows 1 within driving distance in Madison, Wisconsin. I hope one appears soon in Chicago! (I thought The Godfather 50th table was awful, and I hope this one redeems Jersey Jack) P.S. Are you guys on Stern's Insider Connected?

I do have an insider connected account but it doesn't like my home wifi so I don't use it because I can't register the machines.
Steve Richie fixed JJP's flipper issue
There were NO issues at all. I have a Wonka and in the settings you can adjust the flipper strength to your liking. On the default setting it's a little "soft" but when you cranked it up, they're perfect. On my Godfather, the default settings are more than enough but if you like "more" you can adjust it.

I believe I read that Steve Ritchie helped JJP address the noodle-like flipper issue.
My Godfather has great flippers so I think they addressed it prior. They did say that different designers set different power levels on the flippers by default.
Not a great Elton John fan TBH, but table looks a bit special. Great post, very funny, much like that that "Rainbow" episode you can search for. Cheers!.....and keep pulling them Twangers guys! 😎

Idk where to put this comment but.. with all of these music themed pins, I’m kind of surprised there isn’t a Pearl Jam pin yet. Probably the biggest band on the planet with a die hard fanbase.

Definitely an underrated pin rom the looks of it compared to what the general initial reaction to the theme. Watch the playfield as you select your song as each one comes with it's own combination of lit shots.
How can something be under rated before it even hits the arcade floor??😆 🤦♂️

Outstanding art from Franchi, fantastic light show, cool led piano lock with a challenging layout from Steve Ritchie...but the theme does absolutely nothing for me, boring music! It’s a great pin for Elton John fans.
