Nice extended play. Looks like a blast. Just got done wheeling with the Power Wagons at Rausch Creek this past weekend. 10 PW, 1 electric Wrangler and a Cherokee XJ. Folks from as far as Martha's Vineyard, MA in the north and Raleigh, NC in south, several people from VA, PA and MD. We also had a tag along Wrangler on Sunday from Orlando, FL. It is great to get to places where there is a lot of like minded wheelers.

Awesome. We will have to hit that trail soon. Probably not till next year though. That 4xe is no slouch. A guy that we know that’s a (salesperson) for Dodge/Jeep dealer took us for a ride in his personal 4xe. He kept insisting we go and we weren’t expecting it to be so fast.
Have you done any mods to your power wagon? Not that it needs it, their pretty capable stock.

@@RubiKidd06 I have a full assortment of Thuren goodies. His soft rate 3" leveling coils up front, track bar, extended swaybar links, 4 links, Thuren tuned Fox w Res, Thuren spec'd King stabilizer shock and rear adjustable leaf spring shackles. Thuren high clearance HD bumper with Baja Design pods. Maple Off-road HD rear bumper and rock sliders. Purple cranium spider diff guards. Dodge Off road steering support. Able Components nanny override for smart bar and lockers. I can turn them on/off whenever I want without delay. 37x13.5 Toyo MTs on 17x9 Racelines. ARB onboard air single. CB. Rear axle mod to move my axle back 1.5" for better clearance of 37s. Just a few things.... 😂.
One thing we did find on the 4XE on a slippery (loose dry dirt) uphill, it had too much torque. It spun almost uncontrollably. It had to be changed to gas mode to traverse this particularly obstacle. I never thought I would see when too much torque was a problem.

      Sounds like a solid build👍👍👍

You and your son have two of the best Jeeps I've seen. They are solid Jeeps stock and just bad ass excellent built up as you have them. I love the CJ-7 but I wouldn't trade my '05 TJ Rocky Mtn for any other vehicle. It's built exactly as I envisioned so many years ago.

We bought a TJ Rocky Mountain Tub a few years back for parts. That was hard to part out.
      Appreciate the nice comment.

@@RubiKidd06 At least that tub didn't get reduced to a campbell soup can. You'd be surprised how many places don't see or know the value of a key part like that.

Already planning another trip. Sig (the dog) said there’s more digging that needs done.

How do you like the radius arm suspension? I hear a lot Internet talk about how they are bad / not great. Any plans to do a video on how yours has been working?

    • @RubiKidd06
      @RubiKidd06  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@jeremy8715 We love them. Rusty’s that is. Teraflex and Metal Cloak seem to have decent radius arm kits also. I’m totally happy with what we have and have no intentions of a 3 link or 4 link front end. I do need to show people how much flex the suspension really does have. I forget that I have not shown all our footage of the Jeeps flexing. I put all that on Facebook and now have removed my page. The thing is with radius arms is that it gives a good compromise of flex and still great on road driving characteristics. We will definitely touch on this subject soon Jeremy. 🤔😀🤔 Share our two cents that is.

@@RubiKidd06 please do this. I am considering Rusty's for my son's '05 LJ. That would be extremely beneficial in my purchasing decision.

Hey, sure the dog wasn't digging for a dead body of some crashed duner? It's amazing that people will drive half the way across the country to come and play in our little sand box here in Michigan. Nice video.

One of the family members asked a DNR officer how many people are injured there. Officer said 75 serious to fatal per year. Wasn’t expecting that.
I was born and raised 2 hours from the dunes. My friends when I was younger told me not to go because it wasn’t fun there. After leaving Michigan I finally went to the dunes while visiting family several years ago. I now know how lousy my friends were 😀😀😀. Appreciate the comment.

@@RubiKidd06 I live 1/2 hour away from the dunes and have been going there off and on since the '80s. The reason people have accidents and get hurt is because they're new to the dunes or they drive around with their heads up their ass and don't pay attention that there are others out there doing the same thing. It's not dangerous if you drive using your brain and watch out for the other guy. Glad you could experience the dunes and decide for yourself.

@@wiseoldman649 totally agree. Most of those if not all were self inflicted injures. Driving beyond your ability’s and what your rig is capable of.
We do a lot of rock crawling so it’s a great way to change things up. Literally takes a full day on the dunes to break our driving style from trail to dunes. It’s on then!!!
