The camera observes closely how Alexandra Engelfriet molds pieces of clay into an object of art. The video is shot in her studio in France. Extra: 6 sculptures made by Alexandra Engelfriet in 2006
so fortunate for me to have stumbled onto this - lovely spaciousness in an austere studio, they feel quiet and inviting - thank you alexandria ! miestras indeed !
it all depends on what kind of clay your using, this type of stoneware clay is fired up in the 1 thousands in which you need kilns, ovens won't do unless you get a sculpy specifically for baking in the home ovens
Is this project given in this tutorial is okay to bake at our home and what temperature we ca bake it... Pls do reply....Ma'am gud afternoon I am beginner in making jewelry with ceramic clay.....when I tried to bake my beads and some other items at 250 degree Some beads crushed and I lowered the degree to 130 degree and i kept it for 1 to 2 hours... Then It came okay... But pls tell me how to bake my ceramic clay in normal electric oven....
It depends on the clay, not what you are making. Most clay used to make ceramics (like the one she was using) need to be fired at over 2-thousand degrees can't be done in a normal oven. You can't just get any clay either. Make sure you buy clay that is meant to be fired. Since you want to do it in a normal oven, research different 'low-temperature firing' clays. Also make sure that you don't pre-heat the oven when firing. Put the clay in before it heats up. That might be why it's cracking.
Cordialement, Christine

Munny Raja ... You need to use clay that is specifically made for home oven use.
Regular pottery clay won't work.

PS the place you bought the clay from should be able to give you the recommended firing temperature if you can't find it on the packaging.
Magnifique

i hate art
i'm not really seeing the skill in these pieces
yup - they are simple, working WITH clay, no heroics, or fancy tricks...innocent form...the skill is not to kill...
skill is not the point but a tool
