I love to be cozy in bed when it rains and waking up in the morning to see the rain as well. I love the rain because it makes me feel romantic, calming, and loving. I really enjoyed watching your video. Thanks.
I know what you mean. There is something so safe about listening to the rain when you are in bed. I think it must be the knowledge that you have shelter and warmth and that everything is taken care of. Sometimes I giggle when getting into bed and it is raining. Kind of like I have cheated the system.
I had spotted this location awhile back when starting out on a walking track and just knew I’d have to come back and car camp there. It was a gorgeous spot for sure!
You are ABSOLUTELY amazing I remember you said in one of your video don’t be scared get out there do what you love doing as I not sure about camping out on me own but I going to give it a go thanks to you love your videos xx
That is awesome Lorraine, I hope you have a great time on your camp. My suggestion (if you want it, lol) is do lots of planning, and start with something managable and familiar if it is your first solo camp. Being on your own can be enough of a challenge without other things like being in a completely unfamiliar place. I hope you love it.
Thanks so much. I had scoped it out when I went hiking in the area and knew it would be a goodie but sadly it is a no dog area so that is the down side. I am editing the next vid though and Indi is the star of the show again.
I just love the sound of streams, rain, and the trees blowing in the wind. You never fail to please me with your videos. (And no smoke from your "campfire".)😉
Loved everything about this vid, from the car to the coffee!. The scenery and foodies were lovely - as per usual 😁, such an awesome chilled vibe you have going. Wonderful
Lovely video! Can’t even tell you how jelly I was of you at 19:55 in this one, lol! What a gorgeous place. Thank you again for another wonderful adventure. ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Very nice video! Thanks for the tour of your Tesla. Seems like cars can do everything these days. The morning hike was beautiful! Such interesting rock formations where you had breakfast. See you and Indi in the next one!
I've seen several videos now. I absolutely love those New Zealand mountains. I have mountains too very close, 10 miles away in the National Forest of Colorado. Car camping looks relaxing and fun for a break from your traditional camping. Making waffles out in the open with a beautiful view, priceless. 😃
Thanks 🙂 it was a nice little break from roughing it but I’m back to my old tricks again, just back from a wet wild camp with Indi. I have friends from Colarado. I hope to get there one day as it looks like a great place.
Hiya Cathy, I finished watching a 5-hour plus 'AB Camping Vid. Went abt my business then remembered I rec'd Notification earlier U uploaded. Another ENJOYABLE Vid 👍 Thanks ✌️😎 Xoxo 😘 to 'Indi.💯
Thank you. It was a bit different hey?! The next one is a rainy camp (with yucky winds too unfortunately) so I am back out there roughing it with Indi. Thanks for watching.
The Zempire inflatable shelter is much harder to set up than the pole system you used today. Be happy with what you have. I’d gladly trade my inflatable Zempire shelter with you for the pole shelter!
That is very interesting🤔. Thanks for mentioning it as my assumption was the inflating one would be great for one person to put up quickly but it sounds like it’s not. This one is actually pretty simple to put up it’s just cumbersome and time consuming if it’s just you. Did it with 4 people once and it was a breeze.
@@adventureot the Zempire inflatable shelter is also very bulky when new packed sized is 30 x 15 and heavy weighing over 36 lbs. love watching your videos
Absolutely love the set up and the noise of the river. The place you had that lovely waffle breakfast looks like a place in the uk called Exmoor valley of rocks. Stunning. Stay safe.🫡
Thanks so much. One of the things I love about this channel is the interesting comments. I went away and googled Exmoor Valley of Rocks. Wow, what a stunning looking place. That will go on my list of places to visit if I am ever in that part of the world. Thanks
Hallo Cathy tolles Auto und wie immer ein tolles Video. Leider ist es in Deutschland verboten draussen in der Natur zu campen. Aus diesen Grund erfreuen mich Deine Videos immer wieder.
I am sorry to hear you can not camp outside in Nature in Germany. Maybe that is why I meet a lot of German hikers on holiday in NZ. Thank you for watching 😁
Cathy, another great video! I really like your new car! It’s good to see a steady increase in subscribers! Thank you for taking time to put these videos on TH-cam. I’m already looking forward to your next video with Indi! Take care!
Thanks so much John. First car I’ve ever owned from new so it’s quite a treat. Next video features Indi and I out for a very wet windy wild camp, so quite different.
Cosy on her bran bag at home. Sadly approved camping spots accessible for car camping, that allow dogs, are few and far between in my neck of the woods 🥲. The good news is we are not long back from an adventure together so she’s on the next trip 👍
G'day, just heard from some old friends "Mickey" & "Minnie" who spent a cosey night in your chair. 🤣 Great camp setup, sitting by the river like that looked very relaxing. Tesla? Thought you had a Subaru Outback like me? I would be 2 scared to sleep in a battery car. Favorite bit was the scenery at the very end.
Tell your little mates to watch out as if I’d been quicker I would have done my bit to get NZ predator free by 2050 😆. Sad to say goodbye to the Outback. It’s been my trusty car for ages and ages, but our family does too many miles, especially with my trips to the mountains, and at $3/litre of fuel, it’s just not doable anymore. I get you re the battery. I don’t love that idea either, so it’s back into the mountains for me.
Hi Cathy, I will tell you logically. It makes no sense to use an air filled canopy. It would be too light and gone with the wind. Stability.I dont care with others say different. So is my Forester outdated now? I dont think so.
Hmmm, yes I wonder about that, those canopies are already a sail in windy conditions, even without the lightness. Someone else did mention that the air filled ones are very heavy so perhaps there is added weight built in to compensate 🤔. Forester outdated? No way, great little SUV I’d say.
Now you need to convince Abel & Victoria to get an electric car, so your channel, AB Camping and Abel & Victoria can do a EV Zempire camping group party. The other 2 channels have the Zempire air tents also
lol, there's an idea, and I might then have to bring out my big boy 3 room Zempire family tent that our family has used for about 10 years for christmas camping so they don't shown up my little gazebo (lol). More often than not the only tent in the camping ground not blown over or flooded or with broken poles in summer storms.

Another excellent video. we have to be more careful Bear around
Yes I don't go out of fear 😨
Very are very fortunate here not to have that concern. I would be very much out of my comfort zone in bear country
You certainly know how to find some awesome locations. And the views! Wow. Loved this adventure - something different. Thanks Cathy.

Very beautifull spot🤩 the hike and breakfast what a great way to start the day❤
Thanks, it really was, I won’t forget that camp easily. I had a wonderful time.
Loving the rain. What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing. Oh yes, and the wine...chef's kiss !
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much.
That’s the greatest ideal you had. Live the car camping also. Love. Louise Canada
Thank you

That was an incredible camp place....river sounds and rain sounds...the best...look forward to seeing the next with INDY

What a beautiful area. I love the sound of the river and really enjoyed the car camp. Thank you for sharing and taking us along.
You are so welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it. That encourages me to think about doing more car camps.
Cool surprises on this camp, nice that you have different ideas😃🐾
Thanks! 😊
Another great one Cathy, love your setups. Look forward to the next one. Keep waffling. 🥞
Thank you Ian.
What a great idea for a car camp! Enjoyed as usual 😊
Thanks so much Amanda.
The best plate 😁😁
Is that plate or place 🤣? Either way it sure was…. My plate kept me toasty warm and the place was lovely to camp at. So pretty and not a soul around.
Yes best place and best plate🤗
I just love the sound of streams, rain, and the trees blowing in the wind. You never fail to please me with your videos. (And no smoke from your "campfire".)😉

Oh boy you made it through the epic Tony episode 😂 well done! Thanks for watching my camp, so glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
Never been to Castle Hill. Looks similar to the Elephant rocks in Duntroon, North Otago. Awesome video.
I had to google them but yes they do look similar to Kura Tawhiti/Castle Hill Rocks 👍
I loved the whole camp.
Thank you so much!!
Amazing! great vid 🙂
Thank you! 😁
Great Video. Cheers!
Thanks! 🙂
I see your al videos u and your video very grateful
Thank you very much!
Nice spot I would love to go there and camp for a little bit 👍
I agree, a quick overnight was not enough. Next time I think I’ll go for longer and take my time, swim in the river, etc
Love this one it was so different. Your scenery is amazing in NZ. Look forward to the next camp in rain or whatever happens. Have a good day. ❤

Awsome vid!!! Love seeing your channel grow 😎😎😎😎
You are so kind. Thank you!
Wow, I have even more respect for you since you drive a Tesla, great for the environment but where's Indie?
Thanks 😊 This was in a National Park and dogs are not allowed, so she was home with the rest of the family 👍
With the Bio defense mode you could drive thru a burning forest and the car uses hepa filters to purify the air
Brilliant 👍😆
❤
Thank you

Missed your lovely dog, where was she.
Unfortunately she can't come on every adventure, as dogs aren't allowed in national parks here. She'll be back in the next video!
Can you tell us which model Zempire gazebo you’re using please?
Sure, this one is the Zempire Shelterbase.
