I'm 11 years old. I'm looking forward to collage!! It is my dream💕 This helped me so much! I may be going to ASU and I'm excited☺️ Now I'm really prepared
Thank you. * Campus didn't seem to have many people for one of most populated in the US. What day / time was it? * Have any idea as to what percent of students live off campus? * Were those large condos that I saw across the highway?
LearnEnglishESL I'm pretty sure I filmed this on a Friday in May during the late afternoon. Usually on Friday's the campus looks abandoned because most people don't have class. I have no idea of the percentage of off campus students. You might be able to find that on the ASU site. Do you mean the buildings across the bridge? Those were called Palo Verde dorms but they've since been torn down and are being rebuilt.
Hey Rylee, I can't directly comment on your post probably because of your google plus settings, but yeah I had a lot of friends who lived in Best. My boyfriend lived in Best C his freshman year, then was a Community Assistant in both Best A and Best B for two years. I would say the only difference between living in Best or Hayden is that the halls are either inside or outside. Living co-ed was never an issue for me. The majority of floors are co-ed, except Best A and Best B. I have noticed that same sex floors tend to bond more but it really depends on the year and the people on those floors. My freshman year and last year by floors were co-ed and I really liked that. I have a lot more insight on my website at janettsalas.com/blog if you're interested :) Personally, I would choose to live in Best C, just because Best C is the hub of the community.
Hey! I'll be a freshman at ASU next year and will be in the herberger arts too... do you know anyone in Best Hall? I'm trying to compare the dorms and I don't know which is better? Also, how's living in your dorm since it's co-ed right? Do you like that?
I'm not a partier at all, I've gone to maybe 4 or 5 parties over the 2 years i've been here and they were great, a lot of fun! But they were design parties, so they're more laid back then a frat party haha (I did go to one sorority party and the cops came) but if you are a partier, then great; if not, you'll be fine, don't worry! It has that reputation, but it's only because there's not much to do in Tempe/Arizona itself and it's a school of 83,000+ students, so obviously parties will be big haha (you will see drunk people come to the dorms late though, or see a lot of people sleeping around lol-- i do admit that about this school, some of the people are obviously "partiers" so just find the crowd that suits you) you can easily get in with those scores I believe! Acceptance is 1100 SAT and 2.3GPA ! Btw, I really like it here! The classes, teachers, and overall structure of the school are great and I highly recommend coming. It's not an easy school though, which most people think because they consider it a "party" school. Its not Harvard obviously, but you will need to spend all-nighters studying, especially depending on your major! You'll meet a lot of good, but also annoying people, but overall everyone is pretty friendly and diverse. A lot of international students. Staff is really nice! Dorms are nice! If you have any questions, reply back! Hopefully this helped.
Josh Chung in this specific dorm they are. But depending on your major, you may be placed in a different dorm with suite style bathrooms or individual.
Iman The Arcadia dorms, which are for students in the herberger Institute, don't have suite style dorms. The business dorms, Hassiampa, do, and a few others as well. It just depends on what school you'll be going to.
Hi Janet Salas we'll go to take education for postdoctorate in ASU.How much cost monthly dormitory/dorms, bills(elecricity, water, heating, pocket phone) 3 meal a day?
+cassandra sandoval You have to have lived on campus your freshman year and then you can apply to be work in housing after that. It was somewhat a part time job, it's like being an RA/CA. I was compensated with free housing.
what is the selection merit list criteria for the international students ? as there any quota system for country wise are open merit selection for all international students ... and if please any student from Pakistan or India recommended for my guidance its will be good for me
hey sorry to be all random but can you guys please tell me some stuff about ASU i currently live in Texas i will be a freshmen student at University of Texss🐂 and ppl keep telling me yo transfer over to ASU because ill get a better education on my major here my major is Geology amd Geophysics so can someone please if u know tell me a little about ASU and how good of an education ill get here cause i wanna transfer buy i also hear that it is a major party school and it is some what racist
Hey Matthew. I don't know anything about the geology/geophysics program but you should read into it on the ASU website. I loved ASU, but it's not for everyone. It's a really large campus and yea, it's known as a party school, but it's up to you if you party or not. You're in college, you can decide what you want your experience to be like. I never experienced it to be racist. ASU is a safe haven for a lot of people because people are very forward thinking and accepting. Arizona can be racist (mostly towards Latinos), but I've heard the same thing about Texas haha. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best.
Is there a way that you can request to not have a roommate? or did your roommate just leave college early or what? Lol sorry if I sound nosey but I'm just curious.
Rachel Davis Hey! I was actually a Student Academic Mentor for ASU, and part of my compensation was my own room. But students can request private rooms, although they are a bit more expensive. Also, students with disabilities can have access to a private room as well. Hope that helps!
Thank you! How did you hang the closet's curtains? Did it come with it or did you buy something to hang them? Sorry, moving in next month and have no idea :(
+Evelyn Mendez I had one of those curtain poles that are adjust length when you twist them. You can probably get them at Target or Walmart in the bathroom section :) Have fun moving in!
Nope. You're free to go out and do what you want all hours of the day. Just in the dorm area, there are quiet hours where you should be quiet for the courtesy of your hall mates. Usually after 10pm til 6am.
+DelzieC There are a plenty of students in each class that are non-traditional (older, married, kids, online student, etc). But the majority are traditional students.
noooooo noooooo Texas is quiet the opposite ha Latinos r great in Texas if anything Texas is racist against african americans but it's ok cause they arent racist to me i guess cause they know my mom is white lol but thanks so much for telling me a bit about it and ya i know its big but UT is also big so ill be use to it and no i dont party well not to much but i got another question is the academics there great like in general? cause i wanna really focus on my education. how do u feel like about ur professors and stuff
Definitely. ASU is #1 for innovation, it has a high ranked business school, music school, dance school, honors college, law school, public affairs, etc. Like I said, I don't know anything about geology, but it's definitely got some high ranking programs. My professors were great and knowledgable, as I'm sure other professors are in other fields of study. I recommend you take a tour if you can and check out the Geology program first hand.
"everybody knows it for the free condoms" had me dieing
Me too lmao
I miss walking through the campus. I love palm walk.
I'm 11 years old. I'm looking forward to collage!! It is my dream💕 This helped me so much! I may be going to ASU and I'm excited☺️ Now I'm really prepared
Kylie Begaye hell yeah you're prepared for COLLAGE!!!!
abigail

It's "college"
You watched this video and suddenly you’re prepared? No honey no.
Me too (but I am 15)

Thank you Janet and all - Best Wishes - Frank
Plus there’s 4 different campuses not including the Lake Havasu campus

+My Road to Hollywood thanks :D
"A-Mountain has a special team to protect it from our rivals" tell me more please lol
Hey! I'll be a freshman at ASU next year and will be in the herberger arts too... do you know anyone in Best Hall? I'm trying to compare the dorms and I don't know which is better? Also, how's living in your dorm since it's co-ed right? Do you like that?
+Rylee Lala
So do you like Best Hall so far? :)
Rylee Lala how is asu I heard it's a big party school and what are the chances of getting in with 2.9 gpa and 1100 sat score.
I'm not a partier at all, I've gone to maybe 4 or 5 parties over the 2 years i've been here and they were great, a lot of fun! I’m a freshman there now. It absolutely sucks because of COVID. My whole first year has been ruined.
Are the bathrooms community style? Or do you get your own bathroom
Josh Chung in this specific dorm they are. But depending on your major, you may be placed in a different dorm with suite style bathrooms or individual.
Does Hassy have individual bathrooms
+Josh Chung I think it's suite style, so it's 4 to a bathroom, but I can't remember for sure. It's definitely not community.
Got into ASU but can’t afford it :(
I'm from out of state and I'm wondering if ASU has suite style dorms?
Iman The Arcadia dorms, which are for students in the herberger Institute, don't have suite style dorms. The business dorms, Hassiampa, do, and a few others as well. It just depends on what school you'll be going to.
+Iman
Villas at Vista Del Sol are suite-style...
Hi, I was wondering if a mattress pad is necessary for the beds in Hayden?
Do they have ventilation? I mean do windows open or they have sealed glasses? Plz reply
I don't remember, sorry.
why did you add the swirls in the transition shots? hard to really see the campus features.
What about a video about the workers and other dorms
thanks for posting. memories.of ASU.
Hi Janet Salas we'll go to take education for postdoctorate in ASU.How much cost monthly dormitory/dorms, bills(elecricity, water, heating, pocket phone) 3 meal a day?
I loved ASU
I did a west campus tour and I felt it was to safe and boring, is the Tempe campus better for the business major I'm going for?
u get to choose having a roommate or not?
Reema almalki I worked in the dorms so I get my own room but some people can get their own room, it's more expensive though.
is it 715$ a month for 2 bedrooms?
Some of the best years!
Nice .... I Got a question can you share a dorm with a female too?
whats the name of the song you use towards the end?
RealAwesome "Number of The Beast" by Iron Maiden.
How were you able to get a room to yourself?
I was part of the housing staff
can anyone be part of the housing staff? was it just a side job along with going to school too?
+cassandra sandoval You have to have lived on campus your freshman year and then you can apply to be work in housing after that. It was somewhat a part time job, it's like being an RA/CA. I was compensated with free housing.
I am interested in the nursing program. Do you know how competitive it is?

What building for hassy is the best?
+m m I'm not sure actually. They all seem the same to me.
Is there women's soccer at ASU?
Are these the same as Hayden East?
Yea, Hayden east and west are the same just in the opposite sides of the complex.
How long did you study in asu for?
thanks for the video.
what dorm hall are you in?
+larissaxc I was in Hayden West in the Center dorms.
So lovely campus
My dream campus
My brother is at wrestling camp and he is staying at the old building with the triangles. I forgot the name of it
Alyssa Knierim Manzanita Hall.
Uh...is there bathrooms in the dorms? O.o
+Shinda Shinzo In these dorms, there are community bathrooms on each floor. On other dorms on campus, most ones have their own bathrooms.
also is there dorms that can hold only one person? im not very fond of the idea of possibly having a roommate
+Shinda Shinzo yea there are. They're a bit more pricey though.
+Shinda Shinzo at manzanita there's a bathroom in between two rooms so four people pretty much share a bathroom, but they are actually very nice.
cool!
Grady Gammage?
nice
why did you have no roommate ?
ms cindy I worked for residential life and got a room to myself as compensation.
Me as Indonesian seeing this video accidentally:
🤣🤣🤣
I'm curious, is there a curfew for the students.
Nope. You're free to go out and do what you want all hours of the day. Just in the dorm area, there are quiet hours where you should be quiet for the courtesy of your hall mates. Usually after 10pm til 6am.
@myroadtohollywood
What does the demographics look like for non-traditional students?
+DelzieC There are a plenty of students in each class that are non-traditional (older, married, kids, online student, etc). But the majority are traditional students.
Do anyone comes here just because of Daily dropout channel?
My deam college.
