Worked like a charm for me too, thanks Luke! I did notice that massaging the knot with your fingers while it's under warm water helps a lot loosening it - did it both at the beginning and another couple of times later during the process
Thanks for the instructions. Worked great! One additoon is after I get 3 needles on each side, I twisted them back and forth slowly and lots of times. Then I pulled out one set of needles and slid in pointed tweezers to roll over knot. Thank You !
Excellent advice. I can add that using a cone shaped needle did wonders for me. Those sewing machine needles get thicker the higher you go, so pushing one of those through loosened the resilient knot quite effortlessly.
This really does work! My two knots (shamefully) were extremely tight and one was a figure of eight knot. I found that the push pins were too bendy, so is used safety pins, which are heavier gauge. It was difficult finding the spot to insert the pins, but once started they all went in successfully and opened the knot. My lines are Cabrinha and sort of waxy, thus making the knot super compact. I didn’t use hot water and soap as I figured the lines would not accept soapy water. Anyways, great tip.
Thanks for the inspiration, although I did it in a bit different wat. I used 2 needles, perpendicular to each other. They did loosen weave, so it was possible to loosen the knot. No use of hammer at all 😊 Maybe it also depends on the type of line used.
This is the best solution, not only because it’s the simplest but also you don’t risk putting holes in your lines with the pins. Somehow saliva really helps and chewing while turning the knot loosens even the most stubborn knots.
I used two safety pins, one through each loop. Pulled gently apart just a little, removed pins and used my finger nails.

Works perfect, the best method.
just only remember, not use the teeth after having put the line in dishwasher liquid, does not taste good :D
Thanks man
Worked like a charm 👌🏼
Many thanks for the post... Worked a treat with my North lines
Worked just great - thanks for the excellent instructional video

Worked well on my line. Thanks!
Are the pins going through the lines? Or are you pushing them in between the lines of the knot?
It works. Thanks for your video
My god the music is annoying 😖
Worked great!!
the background music is useless here
Maybe next time increase the volume of the background music a little bit more because I could hardly hear it 🤣🤣
I did it 😉
Just gently chew it and loosen
