Agreed, amazing vid!!
Excellent video. Instant fan
Can i connect the phone with cable so that network won’t make it lag
I think it's best to connect the phone to your network over a physical ethernet cable. I haven't tried w/the phone connected over USB to the PC.
Brilliant video. I've always wondered why on earth are we capped at *1080p* *30fps* after purchase with Epochcam, Camo, and droidcam when the Rear Camera of my iPhone has great *4k* at *60fps* vid Quality that's better than pretty much all webcams.
And best of all if you have an older phone you're not using for anything, bam! It's an instant webcam.
WiFi or USB connection limits the stream. Additionally, high bitrate codecs need high processing resources. I believe all those apps use MJPG codec resulting in washed, soft images :(
Would building an access point off my Poe+ switch be a better wireless connection than building an access point off the internet hardline coming into my streaming computer?
For NDI, I wouldn't go wireless at all. No matter what I've run into jitter and other issues. But if you have to do wireless, it's more about having a strong bi-directional signal, which usually means keep the access point somewhat close to the phone.
I get this info “To view NDI output from this camera app, please add it to a NewTek CaptureCast teamplayer as a Video Source (requires ver. 6 or newer)” when trying to view the NDI stream from the CaptureCast Camera iOS app? I really dont understand the message, and Google wasn’t my friend?
There's tow NDI camera apps out there - one is specific to TriCaster (which I think is the one you've got), and the other requires a purchase, but makes the phone into an NDI Camera. It's called "NDI HX Camera."

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I will try it out.
Do I have to connect the iPhone with cable to the pc or what
Because i would like to use it for recording on obs studio
Pls let me know if this NDi allow cable wire connection to the computer
id like to know this as well
I would get an iPhone to Ethernet adapter, that'll work well.
would NDI have any latency with 4K recording with my phone if we are under the same ethernet? Would using cable make it with less latency? How does NDI compare with irium 4K or vod.ninjia?😊
I can't speak to Irium or vod, but NDI's latency should be low - within a few frames over ethernet. From my tests I can't notice it. And if there is, use OBS' audio delay feature to shift to accommodate.
good job..but i dont want to pay..do you know any other way for free?
Not that doesn't include watermarks or other issues. This is the easiest and least expensive way.
It's a professional tool and it deserve that price.
@@tractusevents Awesome thanks! I will be purchasing this and appreciate all of the info and even help in the comments! a True man.
Do you think it would be relatively hard to develop over the course of like a couple years? Would be cool to start maybe an open source version of this
@@n00bslayherttv92 what do you mean develop? As in an open-source version of the NDI protocol?
@@tractusevents yeah I suppose so! I’m pretty knew to all this so no idea if it’s even possible but that’d be cool yeah lol
