The standard of immortal you have set would exclude at least 30% of current immortals. GI & JT both in for me. Both easily better than some current immortals.
JT is the actual goat, he has to be an immortal. Statistically better than Joey in almost everything. More dally m's, better origin player with a better record and more big moments and impact, both have 2x premierships, more games in origin, more games for aus... joey couldnt even hold down his halfback spot for nsw or aus. JT has most points and goals in origin and for Aus, most golden boots and most dally m's. Plus the impact on the game. The headgear, the clutch moments, small things like giving the kicking tee to the ball kid (he started this trend, look how all the players do it now).
I tend to agree with you when it comes to Thurston missing out, as you said 50% of the game is defence and he was average at best in D. I also do rate Cronk, slater and smith. But just as it doesn’t feel right not having all 3 of Freddie, Joey, and lock. It doesn’t feel right now having all 4 of these guys, but if someone has to miss out it’s Thurston for me also. Hard to miss GI too, I have Joey as the goat but when it comes to pure on their day dominance I don’t think anyone competes with GI.
The only clean sweep Qld did was Cronk first year for Qld in 2010, and the one series we lost was 2014 when Cronk didn’t play. I don’t think that was a coincidence
The NRL is missing out on so much potential top shelf content by not broadcasting/hyping up these sort of events/milestones

How 'one look Kasey' didn't get in is a joke - Fui Fui Moi Moi should also be disappointed.

Cronks first start for QLD was 2012..Locky and JT were still the halves for QLD in 2010
Think Eric Simms may have captained Australia before Arthur but could be wrong.
