When my son was a baby I was encouraged to join a mom's group. But one day my husband, son and I went to lunch and sat at a table next to a mom's group. Apparently one of their group was missing and they not only trashed her, they trashed her infant son because he was behind in his development. I swore that day to NEVER join one of those groups. (Both of my kids were later diagnosed with autism. Can you imagine what those hags would've said about them?)

I’m in a family and church community where having babies is quite common. I’ve been around A LOT of babies, and seen a lot of babies that are minutes out of the womb, most newborns look terrifying for the first 12 to 24 hours, especially if it was a long labor. My sister pushed for nearly eight hours with her first baby, she cried when she saw him because he was so swollen and scary looking. We had to assure her he just needed some time to recover. Luckily he was much cuter by the next morning, and even cuter a few days later.
My brother and his wife had a baby within a month of my cousin and her husband. My niece really was a beautiful baby, and she's now a gorgeous 34 year old woman who's an actress. She looks a bit like Kelly Ripa. My cousin also had a girl. Both babies were about 4 months old when they were at our family reunion. My niece Lindsey was fussed over and parents were told how beautiful she was, but my cousin's poor little crotch goblin caused people to react with gasps and "nice" words they struggled to come up with. Gawd, that was an ugly baby! I hope her face improved as she got older, but I've never seen her mother post her pic on Facebook, just her oldest son who is handsome.
😂 I cried for thinking my baby was ugly.. he looked fake to me.. like one of those realistic dolls people buy.. but not a very cute doll 😂 Now I look at him and he’s such a handsome 7 yr old.
@@LazyIRanch i just read your comment.. and that makes me so sad.. maybe your cousin is afraid she’ll get the same comments as she did when she was a baby.. if it was her first it could have been traumatic.. I know this is nowhere near close but when your dealing with hormones right after having a baby even the ‘small’ things are felt just as strong.. when I had my second son prematurely (30weeks) he had to stay in the NICU.. I’d go visit him as often as I could but I had another baby at home (failed depo shot theyre 8 months apart.. yea I know😅) .. during one of those visits the monitors they had on him started beeping and the nurse and doctor rushed in and I was gently moved away as a nurse tried to comfort me.. I don’t remember exactly what was happening.. I just remember thinking he wasn’t going to make it.. they got the machines to stop beeping and he was fine..he came home about a week after.. but since that day I felt different.. I didn’t want to hold him.. I didn’t want to go see him.. I went to see a psychiatrist and therapist and cried because I didn’t feel anything towards my baby.. I cried because I didn’t love my baby.. I was told that it was part of our defense mechanism.. its engraved in our dna from long ago.. it’s a way our minds protected themselves since baby’s survival rates were really low in the past.. they were also raised by many.. I’m sure you’ve heard ‘it takes a village’.. maybe it triggered some defense for her.. because like you said.. the pretty baby got more attention than the one that wasn’t as cute.. so maybe in the past they didn’t receive as much help and made the mom protective? Triggering her protective nature in her might be the reason she doesnt post pictures of her? It’s just a thought..
When I gave birth to my son, he came out looking like a troll on a bad day under the bridge. When they let the family come in to see us, I handed him to my mom and said, look mom, he is so ugly. She glanced at him and said, oh honey, he looks just like you. I laughed. Btw, by the next day he had blossomed into a gorgeous little man. Birth be hard lol! 🦋🦋🦋
Yeah. People don't realize that head got legit squished to go through the canal, that's why the soft spot exists because the bones of the skull were created not fused together so they could get squished into weird shapes so they could fit.
As a mom, I love how you are standing in solidarity with your mom against "Auntie". The team you have put this video together to address your issue flawlessly, then flow back into videos. The "stinger" clips of mother/daughter petty was great❤😂.
Years ago, in the 80s when my brother was a teen, he begged my mom to take him to the mall to buy these expensive jeans he wanted. He was a bit caught up in the teen angst, and was too embarrassed to walk beside her, walking ahead and acting independent even though mom was paying. So while he was pulling ahead of her, she stopped trying to keep up. And she went home. He called from a payphone later, had to ask for a ride. No jeans.
If you are too cool to be seen with mom then you clearly don't need the jeans. In my family my cousins knew better than to pull that stunt, they wanted their Nike and Adidas clothing
I took my then 12 y.o. daughter school shopping one year. We were looking at jeans & I was picking out the non-brand name ones. She stomped her foot and said, 'If I can't have (x-brand) jeans, I don't want any!' I told her that's fine by me. So, we went home with nothing and she made do with the previous years clothes.
Some parents take their lessons too far or try to teach lessons without the mistake present just what they think their kids are gonna do. It's better in this case of jeans or the non brand name clothes. Both instances were handled rather well really makes them think like damn I did kinda ask for that. But if you punished someone without the mistake then they are more likely to think it's okay because they didn't even do it and still got punished they become desensitized and their minds get dark. Rather understanding what you did wrong brings more of an understanding of yourself
My parents have been happily married for 30 years and I 100% believe that they have my sister's mum to thank for that. There's nothing that can bring two people together like a common enemy.
I have an almost perfect way to approach the "ugly baby" situation. When I see that the baby is ugly I simply say, "awe it's a baby". That way I didn't lie which in turn causes no guilt & make sleeping & living with one's self easier. Plus there's the added bonus of not giving the parents any false sense that their child is just as beautiful as they think.
My mom has 0 chill, she thinks that people are awful for commenting "what a cute baby" under someone's baby photos when the baby isn't cute. She instead comments stuff like "congratulations!" "your baby looks just like you!" or "Hope your family is doing well."
It’s seriously so cute that he noticed her beauty blender needed to be replaced and then did it. He’s giving her a hard time but seems like a nice son.
Both my parents could be petty, but one of my favorites came from my father. My husband and I were giving my parents a tour of our first home. As we were leaving a room I would turn the overhead light off and my father would reach back and turn the light back on. After the second time I asked him why he kept turning the lights back on. He said after all the years of us kids leaving lights on and wasting money it was his turn to waist our money. He never turned a light off while visiting any of us kids.
I think your Mom just had enough and her “friendship” with this person was just not worth it anymore. I’m so glad she listened to you instead of forcing you to be ok with her being over.

@@JoeMCool Yes! It is an essential skill I learned from my Texas mama. She grew up in an orphanage, during the 30s in the Depression. She learned polite manners from the stern old-maid matrons who ran the place like a prison, but she learned "petty" from her fellow "inmates" she always called her brothers and sisters. They had yearly reunions because they were so close. I went to one when I was an adult, and DAMN! I wish I had a hidden tape recorder! They had the funniest stories, and sad ones too.
Omg CHARLOTTE IT’S YOU!!!!! I remember loving it when you were presenting on that entertainment/tea sorta channel, everyone else just did not have the same type of energy there. You had (and still do) this awesome presence and a sense of humour that’s right up my alley! I’m so glad the YT algorithm actually recommended your channel because I love listening to Reddit stuff being read out while I do other stuff. Most of all, I am so happy for you that your own channel is doing so well and clearly means that many many others find you great to watch! ❤
I’m so happy to hear your family aren’t putting up with “Aunty” and her BS anymore. She needs to feel the consequences of her own entitled, selfish actions.
I love how he's like, "ew, she uses the same old beauty blender, SHAME!" but then adds "but I got her some new ones and she uses those..." it's so wholesome
There's ALWAYS time for petty. It's like being "nice". Takes little or no effort. Just need the right circumstances for it (rude people usually trigger my pettiness)
@@donaldlayton437 I just don't have it in me. Am I an angry, disaffected, and bitter as fu**? Absolutely. But treating people the way I'd like to be treated is paramount for me. Although I've been the victim of DV and other abuse at the hands of my ex, I know that an overwhelming majority of people are good. To go through tge rest of my life being slightly passive agressive, doesn't serve me. Have I ever done petty things for revenge, a few times. If it's a low hanging fruit, I'd still take it ;)
Nothing wrong with treating people well even if they are d*cks. "Kill them with kindness".as they say. But, honestly, people who treat you like sh*t don't deserve your kindness. I've adopted the philosophy of treating them the way they're treating me. No guilt then.
I was about 6 months pregnant and went maternity clothes shopping back in 2020 (before lockdown). I was down one isle and a very big lady was trying push pass me. The isles were very narrow so one person could fit down the isle at a time. She was riding my ass to the point I thought we were in a relationship at that point. I got to the shorts part of the isle. I had picked what I thought were size 2x - 3x shorts. Turns out they were 5x, the person behind me reached over me and tried to snatch them out of my hands. I hadn't said a word to them at all. But then trying to snatch something out of my hands let alone reach over me to do so. I snapped at her and told them to back the fuck up. The stepped back and said I want those shorts. I said oh these shorts. I held up the shorts . She tried to reach for them again. I threw them in my basket along with the last 5 pairs of the size 5x. I also grabbed the size of shorts I needed as well. The lady was following me around for awhile. I met up with my aunt. So basically I bought 6 pairs of 5x shorts, To be petty to someone.
The " I pay the bills" I relate. My 13 year old leaves bedroom and closet lights on constantly , when she's not in there , it got to old to keep telling her to turn it off when not using them , I took all her light bulbs. Not turning off the TV in her room , I take all her chargers. Haven't had the issue for a while now. Love you kid 😊
Anyone hurts me, my sister is immediately "We hate them. You may feel conflicted but I don't have to. We hate them." Good to know she's there for me 100% (even if, technically, IATA).
Okay. You can take a break. But only because you want to and you give us such amazing content ;) The kid exposing his mom AND his little siblings. I'm dead. The mom on "Facetime". Dead. Thank you, Charlotte, for my laugh today!
The "formula moms arent real moms" irritates the hell out of me xD. My milk never came in when I had my baby, so I never had the opportunity to breastfeed. And ive had MANY moms say nasty things to me because I didnt breastfeed. LIKE I PHYSICALLY COULDNT. What do you expect me to do karen?
My Gramma had 4 sons in the 1940's and couldn't produce milk. It was hard and she got help not hate. They all turned out great. When did feeding a baby turn into shaming?
My milk dried up when I was going to school/work and someone told me I was a bad mom for going to school and should’ve sued my job. Obviously ideally breastfeed, but that’s why they made the saying “fed is best.”
I couldn't breast feed either but my son was allergic to the formulas... even the supposedly hypoallergenic ones. I relied on raw goat milk and other women's breast milk to feed him and people were still judgy. Better a fed baby than a dead baby, folks.
Good morning! Just saw the first part of this story recently and it was super satisfying to hear the full story, especially told by Charlotte! Even though I've seen a lot of these stories on line, they're so much better when she tells them! Thanks for making my work days better Charlotte! 😊❤

The divorced mom was so me picking up my kids after having their weekend visit with dad. I think she ticked every box I did. She used all my words. That’s too funny. 😂 lol
I was working in a retail store and my mom came to shop one day. I was working in the dressing rooms and I was helping a lady with some clothes. My mom came over to say hi.This evil frequent customer was sitting in the dressing room just talking up a strom. The woman I was helping came out in a dress and the evil customer called her fat. I was horrified! My mom turned to the evil customer ( looked her up and down) and said " Bi*ch you ain't skinny either!" 😐😐😐😐 that lady went quite. I just shook my head.
That last one made me laugh. My grandpa did that to my grandma once. She always took a long time to get ready and he said "I will leave in five minutes." Five minutes later, he drove off until she couldn't see him from the door anymore. 20 minutes after that, grandma came out and was hysterical. Mind you, this was before cellphones, so she had to wander around until she found him. Good times!

A long time ago when I was working on the maternity ward, the doctor would write “unusual facies” in the child’s notes. Quickly translated by nursing staff to “having a face only a mother would love”
So a baby who obviously went through a traumatic delivery, most likely forceps or vacuum and is seriously swollen and bruised is fodder for your laughter and cruel taunts. Very mature for a nurse working with neonates.
@@MadeaNH who cares. It doesn’t affect the baby or it’s life. They don’t work with babies anymore considering it says “a long time ago when I worked”. So again who gives a shit 😭😭😭

YAY! Your mom is a hero! ❤ I'm so proud of her! So glad you all didn't have to spend yet another Christmas with a Narcissist, cuz that is what "Auntie" really is! A user and an abuser. Tell your Mom, *Congratulations!* 🎉

My time is precious too and I wasn't playin. When he realized I was serious, he started showing up on time. Imagine that!
It's not petty to end a friendship that no longer works for you. Charlotte your Mom is a good person that listened to a reasonable request from her daughter, an adult. Speaking of chipotle me and my mom watched a pregnant woman curse out this literal teenager over something dumb I can’t even remember while her 4 year old is like trying to avoid being seen. This particular teenager just made me and my mom our burrito bowls and she was super lovely. As were all of the staff. She flipped them all off and left screaming about how she wouldn’t be back. The teenager had to walk away and the manager tried deescalating the situation. After that woman left my mom went up to the counter and asked one of the other girls for the manager. My mom then asked to also speak to that one girl. My mom bragged then about her professionalism even though no one deserved to be spoken to like that and how we had fantastic service and she was just a bitch 😂 the whole staff thanked my mom and I for complimenting them because they get verbally abused so often. My mom then talked about how my own sister worked at McDonald’s in high school and later became the manager and had change thrown at her over people being entitled jerks. Chipotle brings out the dramatic in people I think 😂
It's rough in retail too. The entitlement. I struggle very much in the disappointment of grown ups acting like that. I've been trying to adopt this "no one's home" idea where you try not to react because no one's home to listen, recognize they're wrong and be sorry. It's not the actual definition of the idea, but I thought it might help me.
Im a stay at home mom i have been binging on your channel lol i have extreme ADHD and listening to your videos makes chores and daily living easier lol thanks for the laughs
I wish my mom was petty but she is really good at guilt trips. Her favorite thing to say if i haven’t talked to her in a while is “nunca me llamas. Como vas a saber si me morí?” which translated is you never call me. How will you know if i died? 😂😂😂
Guilt trip... my mom too! Since Covid, I "talk" with my mom 2-3 times a day by email... I'm okay with that... my parents are 83. Mom telephones me at least once a week... BUT she always says... "I'm calling so you can check up on me." It just irritates me. If I WANTED to check up on you... I would have phoned YOU!🙄
My mother is super petty and a narcissist unfortunately. One time my brother came to visit from America to New Zealand to see the family. Brother and mother were arguing so my mother announced “At least I am still married” my brother was so upset as his wife wanted a trial separation. Very rude to me but luckily I have moved to Australia I cannot abide that behaviour either!!!! 😳

My mum is terrible😅 my sister told her this boy was bullying her one day and she made a point to pick her up from the train station, (they were both in separate high schools but knew each other from middle school) my sister pointed him out and she got out the car, confirmed his name and she had a huge go at him for being horrible, forced him to say sorry and never did it again 😅 I wasn’t there but I so wish I was😂
The first dude is so cute, and it's so sweet that he got his mom a new beauty blender 🥰🥰🥰 His mom really should learn to keep those things clean. I've had the same BB for years now but I rarely use it, can go unused for months at a time, and it's washed with soap before every single use (washing it is so fun! Little squishy thing!) and I essentially only use it to blend out a tiny amount of concealer under my eyes with its tip because I cannot be bothered with foundation drama, don't even have any 😂
HEY FELLOW POTATOES, something we can do to support Charlotte and the team on their break is if you have pets and a smart tv, when you leave home for any reason, pull TH-cam up on the tv, pull up Charlotte's channel, pick a play list, and let it play while you're gone. This way your animals have a background noise and Charlotte keeps her views up! And by putting it on a specific playlist of hers it's less likely to start playing videos on another channel. Love you all ❤️❤️❤️
@katsmeow6946 you don't have to have pets but I just mentioned it because a lot of people like to leave noise for their pets and if someone doesn't have any, they might see it as a waste of electricity. But if you don't have pets and want to do this then definitely do it! ❤️❤️
My mom taught me to always forgive those who treat you badly, It started out that way but then I had enough and started getting in trouble for using my fists and my mother was “ disappointed” but the bullies started avoiding me after that !
My ex-husband's sister was just like that "pretty mom" She always forced to fake ass grin on her face and a really creepy kind of care and laugh mixed with insults she tried to make sound a little less like insults and if you got offended she'd say "oh my God I was just joking" Since she had moved out of her parents house there was another family that had stepped in and basically provided everything for her and even let her stay with them, I came from a terribly Dysfunctional Family and after I left my parents house I was homeless for a while. His sister would say stuff like oh my God what are you wearing, just kidding you look great! She made a habbit of saying aqful things first, usually what she believed waa true and then would immediately back track saying stuff like "haha kiding! You can hug me now'. It was so bizzare, of course her brother/ my husband didn't seem to see anything wrong with her behavior but then again he turned out to be mentally and physically abusive as well as a gaslighting narcasist so...

14:30 my childhood best friends mum tried all that tactic of getting information about the ex and trying to manipulate him… When he realised what was going on, rather than call her out on it or anything, he decided to feed false information to her, and when it blew up in her face and made her look like a pathetic fragile sadistic drama queen…he had one of those simple small smiles and calmly stated “and none of this would have happened if you didn’t try to manipulate me…”

I didn’t want to hold him.. I didn’t want to go see him.. I went to see a psychiatrist and therapist and cried because I didn’t feel anything towards my baby.. I cried because I didn’t love my baby.. I was told that it was part of our defense mechanism.. its engraved in our dna from long ago.. it’s a way our minds protected
themselves since baby’s survival rates were really low in the past.. they were also raised by many..

@@SoManyRandomRamblings Yep, poor babies gotta get smooshed to make it through!
Really? I thought it usually takes a few days or months. That’s very cool

I like your mom a lot. That’s a great way to deal with that kind of behaviour.
@@crazycatlady4551 Oh how I LOVE you for this. Well done mom 🎉
😂😂😂
@@itssteph263 LMFAO 🤣 "Your baby just looks like you" .... I needed that laugh about that soooo hard today. Give your mom a hug for that 🖤

Your dad is a legend.

This is just terrible. No one should have ever been nasty to you for that. Keep up the amazing work mama, you are doing your absolute best! 💕
I have four kids. Two breastfed and two bottle fed. The children are all grown and doing just fine. You would not be able to know who was who.

I've had the same BB for years now but I rarely use it, can go unused for months at a time, and it's washed with soap before every single use (washing it is so fun! @katsmeow6946 you don't have to have pets but I just mentioned it because a lot of people like to leave noise for their pets and if someone doesn't have any, they might see it as a waste of electricity. But if you don't have pets and want to do this then definitely do it! ❤️❤️
