I thought the regression to villainy would be a bit more gradual, but one failed attempt at confessing his feelings was enough to have suicidal thoughts lmao. He's a menace too, I mean he couldn't even pull the note out of his pocket and he went straight to domestic terrorism. Best villain ever hands down.

Just finished watching the Bluray set of this show a few days ago. All the new viewers are in for a treat.
Are the bluray any good? The reviews regarding the subtitles on them seemed pretty bad but I didn't notice any issue with this one.
@@lonesquiff6551 The subtitles were bad, but I could tolerate it since I'd always wanted to see the show.
Gridman is one of the best Tokusatsus ever! It's so underrated because it get's lost in between Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman and the Metal Heroes series. But it belongs up there with them! The production is also very underrated. Good writing, great story line, great looking costumes, great explanation on who the characters are, and a well paced show.
I seen episodes of Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad and it's cool we finally get to see episodes of the original Japanese series Gridman.
Tsuburaya is more than Ultraman, this is one of his Masterpieces, that even has an Anime Series and a Spinoff with Dynazenon, and now Coming Soon from Trigger, Gridman X Dynazenon: The Movie.
As someone who watch the American version with Matthew Lawrence, I was beyond psyched when I heard that it was getting an anime.
@@jeffbrehove2614 that's the Plan, and Studio Trigger was the chosen one to collaborate with Tsuburaya, in the Gridman Universe.
While the two mentioned companies are making the crossover movie 'Gridman X Dynazenon'.
I want to see them tackle their older works into modern retellings, maybe mirrorman, fireman, jumbo ace, redma..... actually maybe not him

this is few of the Tokusatsu that has actual kids or early teens being the main protagonist, unlike most of Tokusatsu series
I was disappointed (and a bit confused) why Tsuburaya took this off their official channel after a few weeks but I'm glad it has a new home for us in the English speaking world to enjoy it. Wish you had the translation for the theme song though.
The reason they took it down was because it was licensed by Millcreek Entertainment to be released on Bluray in North America. Which I highly recommend picking up. Its pretty cheap over at Deep Discount DVD right now.
Honestly is wasn't a loss. I watched it each time they put up a new episode and the subtitles got increasingly less understandable each week. The physical release had slightly better subs tho
Wow this takes me back regardless of it being the Japanese version. I love Superhuman Samurai more than power rangers.
I wonder what would the computer world be if it was anime just like the sequels.

but Still, Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad was a Perfect Show, despite being Tsuburaya's first co-production with DiC Entertainment.

I like this AND the American adaptation but one thing the American version has over this is that his friends pilot the mecha. Trigger incoorporated this into SSSS.Gridman by making the support-mecha AI that can take a humanoid form.
