    I don't care what anyone else says. Gadwalls are a beautiful duck. Yes, the plumage is a bit subtle, but beautiful. They are also a good sized duck, and very reliable for shooting action.

      Amen, sir. A gadwall drake, in full nuptial plummage, is as handsome a duck as any that flys.

      Agreed and they’re not to bad on the grill. The drake is a beautiful bird. Not sure why they don’t get that much love?! I’ll take one on the strap every day.

    Quick fix for your Stoeger. Disassemble the bolt completely, really clean up the inertia spring, which can get really nasty with rust and gunk. Clean out the hole where the inertia spring sits with solvent and let dry. Stretch out the action spring a little bit, it's the big one under the forearm. Make sure firing pin, and spring are clean and clear of debris. It should run better for a while. Long term fix. Order new action spring, and inertia spring from Stoeger. Hope this helps.

    Hey I heard you talking about your stoger I purchased one last year had a ton of trouble with it brand new out of the Box send it back to stoger they repaired it and I have not had a single problem since they repaired it. I have fired over 15 boxes since they repaired it and not a single problem. they were super cool.🤙

    My first duck gun was a Stoeger M3500 gifted from my dad it’s very awkward, heavy, and does not function worth a crap. After 2 seasons I bought a Winchester SX4 it’s a Cadillac compared to the M3500

    I really like my Stoeger... I was having misfires and after multiple cleanings, I switched the ammo and the problem has ended... the Kent 2.0 ammo seems to have been the problem for me.

    You might need a stronger hammer spring. Easy to remove spring. Check it and try a little stronger one. I have changed the one in my 3000.

    Aside from the std. cleaning, give the trigger assembly a thorough clean, soak it, blow it off with air, get into the nooks and crannies, blast it with a good solvent, then blow dry, dont oil it afterwards. Good luck.

    • @thomasjohnson3793
      @thomasjohnson3793 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I found that out with my Stoeger it's a pump 350 turkey just quit cleaning it so much and it helped and at the end of the year give it a deep clean mine was a spring issue I cut that down and it worked well

    If its built like a benelli clean the hole in the rolling bolt the fireing pin will freeze in the bolt in really cold weather i use a small paint gun cleaning brush and hoppe's # 9

  • @coldfridayduckcamp2457
    @coldfridayduckcamp2457 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Im not a brand hater or brand spokesperson, but those Stoegers are not Benellis like everyone says. Quality and tolerances are not there. Try changing out the firing pin spring - maybe getting weak. If that doesn’t work, check out the tip of your firing pin and make sure it’s not chipped or deformed. If it is, a new firing pin is in order. If none of that works, I would sell it for what you can get for it. A really good fairly priced semiauto is the Beretta A300 which can be had for between $700 - $800. As you know the Brownings and Benellis are great choices but double that price point. Really like your video content and your style - keep up the good work.

    There might be a piston in the part of your stoger that the barrel attaches to your shotgun that you might not be cleaning whenever you take it apart. There was one on my 930 i kept cleaning my gun and missing it. Maybe thats happening to you too

    Change everything you can on that stoager out to benelli m2 parts.

    • @mud8479
      @mud8479 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With my stoeger I had to replace my extractor to the m2 extractor and then it would properly load and extract rounds. After that small fix it worked flawlessly. I love my stoegers.

  • @gv1857

    I had a Stoeger! Get RID of it. I lost so much game because of it. I even sent it back and they gave me a new one. It did the same thing. I traded it in for the A300 and my daughter uses it now. Told Elliot about it when he had it on a review. Please take my advice. Nothing you could do to fix it. I hated that gun and will never buy another. My best guns are Brownings. (Clean the trigger once in a while.)

    I realize that this video was posted many months after the actual hunt date. Are you still having trouble with that Stoeger shotgun? If so, I propose you sell it and buy a Winchester SX3 or SX4. Three members of our hunting team have switched to the Winchester auto loaders with great results!…..Uncle Steve
