This was the last stop on our tour across the States, and we just blew up in sales that last year! The crowd was even crazy in the back where we stepped out of the bus, it scared Sticky while we carried him out. All that was nothing compared to when we got up on stage and a sea of people started cheering as we got into place, it was deafening. But the instant Sticky started singing it went nuts! There was a beauty to it all, I got pulled into a trance. His beautiful voice echoing into a massive open concert lot, the people cheering and screaming, Jackie's skills on the keys... you can see me back there just in the moment. My kids dont ask me much about those days, but even if they did I couldn't tell them much. It was just a big blur of practice, partying, performing, meeting fans... Most people didn't like our breakup in the 80s, but we felt like we did what we wanted. We expressed ourselves fully to the world, all we'd make after that would be just forced. Well, Jackie and I saw it that way... nobody liked what happened to Sticky after he tried to go out on his own.
No matter how old the cat videos are, no matter how much the algorithm changes, they will always be with us. Cat videos are what hold our sanity together. Especially uh.. these couple years.
