18:23 everyone should listen very carefully to this ending of the speech and thank every American whoever fought for our country and our freedom - they sacrificed their lives so we could enjoy ours: families, wives, husbands,
kids, grand kids, great grand kids. And then come down to the wall in Veterans Day and do as I did in the mid 90s, and shake the hands of Americans who fought in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and so on. Joe Galloway thank you for being with these Americans, thank you for working with General Moore to pay tribute to all the fallen and all the heroes of the Ia Drang Campaign. The two of you have brought god's highest glory upon yourselves. And I know you will continue to spread the gospel of what you experienced. I have followed your story for over 20 years now. Simply Amazing. God bless you sir!

Really? Just how did wasting thousands of lives in Vietnam make you free?

Without a doubt, one of the best AVVBA meetings I've been to and a great speaker. We were all on the brink of tears a couple of times.

Great speech. As an Infantryman and Iraq combat veteran, wanted to say welcome home to our vietnam vets. Much tougher and had it much worse than I did coming home.

On the cover of the Book is the photo of the most unsung Heroes of the 21th Century,RICK RESCORLA.
Rick was born Cyril Richard Rescorla May 27th 1939 in Hayle,Cornwall ,England and during WWII he was so impressed by the GI's stationed there that he decided when he was old enough he would join the army and in 1957 aged 17 he joined the British army and left in 1960 to
join the Northern Rhodesian Police 1960-63 Rick returned to the U.K and served in the Metropolitan Police Force in London.
Rick was an ardent anti-communist and a close friend American soldier Daniel J. Hill, inspired Rescorla to join the U.S. Army and fight in Vietnam.
He changed his name from Cyril to "Rick" a shortened version of his middle name as it sounded more American.
Rick joined up and served as a Platoon commander under Hal Moore 7th cavalry in the Ia Drang Valley,Vietnam and was awarded Silver Star, Bronze Star (OLC) Purple Heart, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, he was a hero to his men who looked to him as an inspiration when things got tough and he would often sing old Cornish folk songs to lift their spirits.
His mantra was "Leave no Man behind" and it always effected him when he lost one of his men in battle.
After service in Vietnam, Rescorla returned to the US, and used his military benefits to study creative writing at the University of Oklahoma, eventually earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Arts degree in English, and a law degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. He then moved to South Carolina, where he taught criminal justice at the University of South Carolina for three years.
Rick joined Morgan Stanley in 1985 and became director of security for Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley in 1997.
After the Truck Bombing in the basement car park of the WTC IN 1993 Rick knew that future attempts would be made
and in a TV interview he predicted that it would come by aircraft hitting the towers.
He would have regular evacuation practices to the annoyence of DW/MS staff but on Sept 11 2001 Ricks
prediction came to pass and when the South tower was hit Rick knew what had to be done and calmly evacuated people down the stairwell with his bullhorn telling them proudly "God Bless America" and singing Cornish songs as he did in Nam to his men.
He almost single handed evacuated 2,687 people from the south tower BUT Rick never forgot his promise to "Leave no Man behind" and went back inside to make sure that everyone had left but shortly after the south tower collapsed.
Ricks body was never found but he died as he lived looking out for those in his care,3000 people died that day but for RICK RESCORLA that figure would have been nearly doubled.
A REAL HERO WHO MOST OF YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD OF, SO SPREAD THE WORD REMEMBER HIS NAME AND TELL OTHERS OF THE MAN WHO HALVED THE DEATH TOLL OF 9/11

Not only is the press not watching politicians, they are abetting them, and covering for them!
