the ring you think loosens up the zoom is your preset focus ring. When you have preset the focus to a specific point and have moved away from that, twist the ring and it goes back to your preset. There is no zoom tension ring.
@@joeypusateri_ Stabilizer modes are: 1 - static object, 2 - horizontal pan, 3 - horizontal and vertical. Where modes 2 and 3 are supposed to 'detect' a intended panning motion form random jitter in the respective axis to avoid the stabilizer counteracting the panning.
What makes this lens great is the built in 1.4x. It is rumored to not be in the RF version.. Canon seems to be innovating but also taking steps back. Maybe they'll have a 1x - 1.4x or 2x teleconverters.
You will probably get better results in IS mode 3. It will give you an unstabilised viewfinder to help with subject tracking but stabilise the shot when taken.
