I want to just thank you so very much for these videos , I remember every night coming home watching it till i fell asleep and having so much anxiety about this process and wanting to give up because so many documents were needed in a certain amount of time . Yesterday they approved me for my 1 bedroom and its my first ever apartment on the day of my mom birthday (she passed away) this is just a confirmation from God that what is for you will be for YOU!!!! I sent SO MANY documents over 6 months of back and forth so i hope its enough. I got to see the apartment they say it can take a long time or be as short as a week who knows but hopefully im approved and get to move in next month.

I got approved today for a apartment i seened from housing connect. Since i have a voucher by Friday it should be filled out so i can send it to homebase n then wait for them to release the checks so i can sign my lease and get my keys

Congrats! Where you approved for an apartment in Tower 1 of the Alvista Towers in Queens? I know there are two towers. I submitted an application for an apt in Tower 2 a few months ago. I got an email from them two days ago asking me to submit documents. I submitted my documents, and now my application says "Under Review." I thought the second tower was still under construction. Do you know what's happening, now, that my application is "Under Review" or what happens next? I don't know if I should wait to see if I'll be approved for an apartment at "the towers," or keep looking for an apartment someplace else. Please get back to me. Congrats, again!
No I don’t live in alvista tower I was contacted by them In 2018 but I was unable to Go to the interview process. And under review means under review. If you have concerns contact them and ask If they need any more information. Everyone’s process is different
It’s so funny that every time the same day you get something I get the same exact thing my process started when yours started and yesterday November 9 I got a rejection letter instant but I am appealing it because they miss calculated my income I’ve submitted everything the lady told me she’s putting me on the waiting list and I told her hell no you can’t move on from me if my process is not done yet so I called everybody her boss her bosses boss and her bosses boss so tomorrow they’re going to continue with my process. basically guys if these people tell you know don’t just take that.

After telling them that I was going to file a complaint all of a sudden they have a two bedroom for me I did all the paperwork yesterday they said I’m rejected because I’m under income I said no I’m not I file an appeal within one hour you call me back that he was gonna put me on a waitlist because they don’t have any more units I said well if you guys don’t have any more units that means someone with a higher log number took my apartment I went back and forward them I called the supervisor I told him I was gonna call the state now suddenly all of a sudden they got an apartment for me crazy

The owner of the building ask to have a meeting (mind you I have already seen the apt) is this normal? Meeting the owner of the building? The housing is going through a consulting agency.
Hi Ashley , I got a email back I was chosen for a project through housing connect . My case manager is giving me a hard time . My address on housing connect is different from the address I have for my pay stubs, W2 & documents she needs . She’s saying I would have to withdraw my application bc the address need to match what they have on files . This is so sad & stupid to reject me for something so small .

The agent i have been working with told me it is not a sure thing just yet until i sign my lease; maybe she is trying to contain my expectations... and honestly im a nervous mess so i rather err on the side of caution lol. Hey! Congrats! Thank you for your videos...they were very helpful. I applied in October 2021 and just got word last week that my application has been selected and they requested my docs. I emailed the Marketing Agent on Sunday to confirm that they received it and they emailed me back today and stated that my file has been received and that it will be reviewed by the compliance person. Do you know how long it usually takes for the compliance person to review and is the compliance person the HPD people after the initial review from the Marketing Agent? I am so anxious and hopeful to God!!!
My Process took 4 months in total because my building was not open. I sent documents on July 8th 2021, and was approved for a studio august 3rd and thats after the back and forth with Documents and Self affidavits. Second time I have to resubmit my information because I got a new job. and tht took 2 weeks

No once they say your proved they can give away you unit unless your rejected

The agent i have been working with told me it is not a sure thing just yet until i sign my lease; maybe she is trying to contain my expectations... and honestly im a nervous mess so i rather err on the side of caution lol. Congrats! Thank you for your videos...they were very helpful. I applied in October 2021 and just got word last week that my application has been selected and they requested my docs. I emailed the Marketing Agent on Sunday to confirm that they received it and they emailed me back today and stated that my file has been received and that it will be reviewed by the compliance person. Do you know how long it usually takes for the compliance person to review and is the compliance person the HPD people after the initial review from the Marketing Agent? I am so anxious and hopeful to God!!!
HPD should be the same at the compliance person or it can be their property manager who reviews it before sending it to HPD
It look about 2 weeks for me once it’s sent to
HPD it can take longer depending on the persons household size

How long it took because I submitted all my documents and even went to go see the apartment now im just waiting
My Process took 4 months in total because my building was not open. I sent documents on July 8th 2021, and was approved for a studio august 3rd and thats after the back and forth with Documents and Self affidavits. Second time I have to resubmit my information because I got a new job. and tht took 2 weeks
@@AshleyNicholson thanks..so I should be hearing something soon because I did the back and fourth with the documents and sent everything they asked for and the apartment is finished because I seen it 2 weeks ago ..I just emailed the lady and she said everything in process so I will just wait but what is my worry is me paying July rent where I live now and then they call me ..that will be 1,520 wasted that I can use to move smh
