This is why I miss early-mid 00’s basketball

It was pretty awful by today’s skillset standards. I miss Marc Gasol, ZBo, and mobile Bigs akin to Jokic and Embiid, but half the lineups were not skilled enough to command minutes today
ISO BALL is also garbage. 1st and 2nd Tier Stars would be phenomenal today, but GSW Style Offense exposes weakness in efficiency

this is an amazing cut, 2000s basketball was amazing, all star battle every night. to me 05 06 ray allen was at his prime, even in 07 with the sonics he started to get older and rely a lot more on catch and shoot, but 05 06 ray allen was not very well documented people dont get to see he was a complete player back then. and of course yao ming was very under rated as well, his hook shots, post moves and turn around fade away were all amazing.

00s basketball was way better than today’s basketball filled with tiny toons

Because this was the generation that saw Michael as lil kids. They all wanted to be mike.

very glad that yao played it in that era.. his talent would have been wasted in today's nba

Yao was just so skilled for such a big man. It's too bad his body betrayed him a bit with the foot issues because I don't think that either he as an individual, or those Rockets teams, ever got the chance to reach their full potential.

Yao was pretty coordinated for his size, doing spins around defenders

Yeah. Between playing for The Rockets and returning to his homeland to carry his team. Yao Ming body didn't get the rest it needed.

Being someone that lived in Seattle their whole life, seeing the old Sonics homecourt brings back memories
