It’s really not anything to worry about, I don’t know anyone who didn’t get a distinction, you just have to talk for the right amount of time and show you have interest in the topic but it’s honestly nothing to worry about :)
In English language I was expected an 7. Got 7s in both sets of mocks. Ended up with a 4. Two marks off a 5 so I’m getting it remarked. I was disappointed too x

I have history paper tomr and watching this, girl a lot of us feel so annoyed because they find that this year gce standard is higher than the past few years too! I’ve applied for an early admission for my college and I’ve successfully get into my Creative Writing course with a catch of minimum entry requirement and I’m rly nervous for it because I’ve already finished math and English paper which are the crucial subjects and we can’t fail it at all. The D next to English means that you got a Distinction in the speaking and listening exam. (that's what it ment on our results) In English I got a 6 in literature and 5 in language.

paper 1 was decent, it was just the 11 marker at the end because it only allowed you to do it in pseudo code not flow charts and im weak at pseudo code. and paper 2 was a really easy paper, when i got out of the paper 2 exam i felt very confident.

The D next to English means that you got a Distinction in the speaking and listening exam. (that's what it ment on our results) In English I got a 6 in literature and 5 in language.
I got both 5’s in my English literature and language. My school is paying for it to be remarked as I was one mark of a 6 if English language and 2 marks of in English literature. Like this video if you got a 5 in English and if so comment if your getting it remarked!!

you did so well leah! i got 7s in english which i was a bit disappointed about as i wanted 8s so bad, but i’m still quite pleased. overall i got mainly 6s and a couple of 7s (5 in maths thank god) which may seem good to a lot of people but my best friends got 7s, 8s and 9s so i’m feeling a bit down on myself. i definitely agree with you that success is relative (like i’m disappointed with 7s in english but other people might be really happy with that) but anyway, you did so well and i think we should all just be proud of ourselves for getting through these last couple of years :)xx

Leah don’t worry!! Everyone in my school got 5s for English language. The grade boundaries were strange haha. I got a 5 and was predicted a 6! Well done on your results, you did really well!! I got a 5 in foundation maths too❤️
What exam board were you with for English? I was with AQA and i somehow managed to get an 8 in Lit and Lang. I think this new system is a bit of a mess

I was disappointed in English too! I was told I would get an 8 but got a 6! I know a 6 is good but I was very disappointed!

im a quarter way into my gcses, ive already completed both computer science papers and ive done english lit p1 and biology and chem p1. its been stressful but i still have 3 more weeks to go of gcses ahhhh.
paper 1 was decent, it was just the 11 marker at the end because it only allowed you to do it in pseudo code not flow charts and im weak at pseudo code. and paper 2 was a really easy paper, when i got out of the paper 2 exam i felt very confident.

I live in Scotland and we do less exam that English pupils do and I got two B’s and one F

I’m getting my gcse results soon in August and since I haven’t taken any exams I don’t think I’ve passed anything I would be happy with a 4 in everything but I know that’s not gonna happen as I am predict 3s and I didn’t even mess around I just couldn’t learn the way I was taught
