As soon as you unlock FD you should barely ever have to facetank mobs, and if you have to facetank them you can kite. So at low levels since you don't have that many spells anyway it's definitely a keybind but at like lvl 30 or 40 I wouldn't be using it in PvE much. It was more of a panic button next to consumables in PvE. In PVP it definitely belonged to the keybinds.
@@アマ-p2l When it comes to 'run' situations, you should always pop monkey and side strafe away. You can still dodge from that angle, which reduces the likelihood that you get dazed. For hardcore, it's an absolute must imo. Monkey aspect was never 'necessary' in any regard, but it's a useful tool and useful tools should be used. Most players are stupid and turn their back completely on mobs instead of side strafing or 'jumping and spinning' to face the correct way.

Wanted to do the hc challenge, but then servers got announced so waited for that. And well yea. Taking it more careful now for sure 😂! the warrior makgora was done after the second warrior activated retaliation too, it's like tennis, when you activate reti, you strike back after every attack, this proccs with every reti attack too, so it went from 100 to 0 in an instant

That Keksec priest guy who went afk and got saved at 7% is a Frontier team that just cleared MC world first (with no deaths). Sure, the actual skill in the fights after you have everything planned out might not be much - but staying focused for all these hours to survive moments like these is a skill on its own.
Uldaman.. Not only did warrior charged into an unknow spot without looking at his left, but his initial plan was to pull boss with 2 golems. You could just pull those two golems before the fight. So already boss + 2 golem. Then +1 pack of mobs that can't be slowed or rooted. No one is running to the tank so tank has to jump everywhere to get aggro. Then hunter with zoomed first person view doesn't see that he pulls YET another pack of dwarves. On top of a boss that can slow you to 10% movespeed AND silence you.. 😢

They didn't leave him to die, they just wiped. It prolly went like this: since the mage is eager to instant aoe and take threat they made many pulls like this with the warrior whirlwind cleaving everything and never got punished. As soon as something went wrong nobody knew how to adapt to a different playstyle or press different buttons to what they're used to and panic'd. Couldn't focus an enemy down or kite them despite having the composition. Could add other details like the meh interface but that's for another lesson. Dpss were bad, though it's hard to tell from this perspective who exactly did worse
He got abandoned because he was a bad tank who didn't do his job. He failed to tank the boss and the elite add, which are the only two targets that really matter as a tank. The other party members could have easily killed the non-elite dwarves with aoe abilities if they didn't have aggro from the boss and the elite add the whole time. Taunt was off cool down for a good portion of the fight. See for example 1:50 where he doesn't use Taunt on the boss, but tries to get aggro through other abilities. And then he just runs away from the boss, who keeps hitting the warlock, and uses Taunt on one of the non-elite dwarves instead.

@@imwivstuipidhow did you notice not using taunt? :D His UI was the worst possible. No mob names, no nameplates, default everything. Their levels were way below the safe. So many deadly mistakes in one.
You were also saved by that dodge in the end. If you had hit that mob, it would still chase you. Don't forget that as long as you are hitting the mobs, they won't leave combat and they will follow you to the boundaries of current zone. Good luck on rest of your journey!

I did try to hamstring the son of Arugal but I think I was out of range and just kept running and hoped for survival. He wanted to be the guy and he was the guy...that awesomeness is what happens when you watch and plan where you go and don't attack your pursuers...even if him getting in the situation to start with was dumb.
No, the other warrior was using retaliation. He got hit twice by the warrior, and because he hit the other warrior twice, he got hit two more times and killed himself. He just doesn't know how to play war or against it.
In the Mak'gora was it because both retaliates had been bouncing off each other the whole time piling up hits and once it was over they all came ticking like delayed damage?
If you don't dodge/parry/miss any strikes then retaliation will bounce off each other until all the strikes are dealt or one of you dies. Instantaneous.
Dungeons really are the biggest issue. You just cannot trust your tank not to be an idiot. And when he first starts showing signs of being an idiot, deciding whether to just leave the group is not easy since it ruins the run for everyone as you can't replace people.

They don’t accumulate, they do damage instantly
