    All great stuff! A fantastic partner to ozone is neutron as they actually communicate with each other. Tonal balance control is super useful too as all three of these communicate with each other. Also the free audio lens is an awesome way to easily grab refence profiles of anything you want. Izotope hit it out of the park with these tools and updates to them. I also agree with stock eq. For me it's in first position and mostly because it's super easy on resources which will more than likely get eaten into along the way. I use waves pultecs. Would love to see how you use the fab filter eq. Too rich for my bank account at the moment. It's worth noting that samples sound great these days. It's the combination of so many of them that needs sorting. That's why I'm always trying to simplify the arrangement. Best eq ever- simplify the arrangements! LOL! Great content here.

      Dude you nailed it - "Best eq ever- simplify the arrangements!" so insanely true. I'll put some more stuff together demonstrating the fab filter as it's really quite awesome and honestly, they've made it so fun to use! As always thanks for checking out the video and taking the time to add to the conversation.

    i only have fl studio and studio one ,however, i do have the pro EQ 3, but for certain people this EQ can be expensive, thats why you also have nova, its also a dynamic EQ (limited in bands tough) and then you have OTT a multiband compressor, two great free tools for your arsenal, cheers

      @saimaxstudios6902 you got it! The first videos I made (this one included) were mainly focused on production quality as that's something I felt so many composers seem to struggle with when producing their own music. That said, I've filmed a number of videos focused on writing so stay tuned or sign up for notifications on ModernMediaComposer.com and I'll let you know when they're released!

      Agreed @FlartusMenix ! While flashy plugins are a lot of fun and can be really useful for specific things, no need to break the bank for great mixes!

    I’m digging this channel. Any suggestions for someone wanting to get into the world of cinematic music production? Like where to start if you want to get jobs. Creating a portfolio for library music etc.

    • @jonasfriedman
      @jonasfriedman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey @davidasher22 - It all starts with nurturing your skills as a music writer and producer and creating the absolute best portfolio of work you possibly can, tailored to the part of the industry you're looking to get started in. So if you want to write trailer or music that can be licensed for advertising, then make sure you're samples are tailored to that. If you want to be in film or tv, pick a genre and style and begin by submitting to opportunities that have a need for that type of music, and slowly expand your portfolio with a wider ranger of genres and styles over time. If you're specifically are looking to get into doing music for production libraries, I'd suggest researching top places like MusicBed, Extreme Music or Bleeding Fingers, Burnett Music Group, Position Music, Audiomachine and so on. If you're looking to get jobs in film, television or video games - thats a slightly different beast but it again starts with having the best sounding portfolio of music you can possibly create.
      If you haven't already, you may want to sign up for my newsletter at ModernMediaComposer.com - I'm going to be creating much more detailed resources about getting jobs in these different parts of the industry and I'll be releasing them throughout the year. Hope this is helpful!

      @@jonasfriedman thanks. This is definitely helpful. I’ll make sure to sign up for the mailing list. I was a professional musician for a long time but became paralyzed five years ago from a fall. I’ve since started a career as an engineer, mixing and master from my home studio. But I really want to write. That’s my passion and I’d be so grateful if I could do something with it. So I’m open to any help I can get. I really appreciate your time. Looking forward to learning from you.
