Nice flat boot floor to lay your picnic out on 👍 ..... ahhhh its either costly and simple or cheap and time consuming. Cheap all the way for me !! Nice job ! Keep the vids coming ! Q&A >>>> where has Bernie ‘really’ gone ?
Kev, Great to see a video and you really getting on with the build. I see you have done the same thing with fitting thicker rear plates on the rear subframe trunion mount holes. i did the same in 2015 check out ( Classic Mini Cooper restoration part 2 ) I think the 3 layers they had originally are just another rust trap on an mini as if there is not enough allreay lol. Cheers Dave
hello mate, I will be going back to 10 inch wheels, in rallying you get through a lot of tyres and many championships run a control tyre. I had been running 5.5 x13 inch rims for autotesting but those tyres were costing about £120 each in soft compound but a good 10inch tyre is about £70 :) www.minispares.com/product/Classic/Wheels/Tyres/10/TYRE15.aspx?200201&ReturnUrl=/shop/classic/Wheels/Tyres/10.aspx|Back%20to%20shop that's for tarmac stages but for gravel I am going to have to do some research :)
yes he does, we have ripped out the rear subframe and just need to weld up the holes in the boot floor - that's why he is learning to weld :) - we hope to do a few more videos on the WHO when the body work on this rally project is finished :)
Looking good Kev, can't wait to see it progress
Cheers mate, thank you
I like the welding slow Mo 👍
ha ha, Jo's first attempt at welding so I wanted to milk it for him :)
Great vid as always Kev, love the paint mixer, think we will be welding alot soon on you know what , cheers Mark
Thank you, and I am looking forward to the new Total car reviews build
Real strong repairs, just what's needed for a rally car... tough! Enjoying this new series, thanks! Do hope Bernie returns though...… ??
thank you, yep I need to build this thing strong :)
Cracking job. Must try and catch up again sometime.

thank you sir, ooh will add that question to the list :)
just had to rub it in eh? Christmas Eve we bottomed out at -42c. had to go install Nos. on Santa's sleigh. nice fab'n. cheers.
yeh its tropical :) - no frozen cow poos here :)
Nice timing for me too, as I've just started on my boot floor.
both Jo and Paul in out team have the same issues with their minis, those rear corners just seem to rot out. good luck with your build.
@@TheGentlemensMotorRacingTeam I think it's the acceleration forces the rust to the rear!

Thank you sir, rallying never really stops at club level, however, I would love to get this mini ready for the Abingdon CARnival in mid June :)
