- Amboseli National Park keeps surprising us! Not only were we blessed with the amount of beautiful wildlife we saw, but we had a RARE opportunity to visit a Maasai wedding happening in the local community, and fly high above the park with the ultimate view of Kilimanjaro in a hot air balloon!
This was truly a once in a lifetime kind of day and one that we'll never forget.
A huge thank you to the local Maasai community for embracing us!

Hello Maria, is the adventure in Kenya fun? If you want to ride an elephant, you have to come ride it in Thailand. Elephants in Thailand are tame and intelligent.
Shes loving Kenya! 😊
To be honest she prefers to see elephants in the wild than tied up and used for riding. ❤️
@@WhereNextFamilyI would like to clarify that most of the elephants raised in Thailand are not chained but will be fenced. If taken out, there will only be someone following them and they may chain them to prevent them from disturbing other people, just like dogs do when If taken out of the house, an interpreter is required as well.

Enjoy following your journey but have a couple questions as I have also lived in Kenya and may have missed info previously provided. Why did you leave Kenyan and then return? Visa? Also is it ok to use a drone in the reserves? I thought it was not permitted. Curious as I may visit myself soon.
Hey no worries.
We left Kenya because my contract finished with the hotel I was working at, so we decided to go and explore South East Asia for a few months to create content and re-start our travel company "Where Next Escapes".
We had fun, but we could feel Kenya calling us back so decided to come back, but this time on our own terms and not working for anyone 🙂
Drones in Kenya are legal with a licence. As for flying them in parks and conservancies you are mostly correct, it's not permitted, although when working for camps and lodges they can grant permissions to capture the camp etc.
In maa the "i" doesn't exist. It's Ambosel. 😉

How much does it cost riding on air balloon?
Full transparency - we did not pay as we were filming content for them, however I think typically it's around $400-$500 per person
