  • Take a ride with me to Nthia village, Makueni county - Kenya home to a gazillion African hives. Climate change has been accelerated by acacia tree cutting activities that bring more problems than benefits. With this bee keeping project, I envision an ecosystem within which the honey bee thrives, the acacia tree conserved, food production escalates (80% of food crops rely on pollination) and the community empowered financially through honey trade.

i thought Botswana is dry but after watching you doing bee keeping in that area i am more than encouraged to try it here.you are doing well to discourage people from cutting trees for charcoal. Hope the community sees it through your eyes. Gitonga
