- Following on from Jie Jenn's Tutorial on how to get around the password protections on Windows using WinRar.
I show you how to get around password protection on Mac and how it may differ from the Windows method.
Hi Daniel, following your step, but I cannot get through the “unzip“ step in the Terminal. It says this: End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
note: RodF.zip may be a plain executable, not an archive
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of RodF.zip or
RodF.zip.zip, and cannot find RodF.zip.ZIP, period.
Advise?
This worked for me! Running Mac OS 14.2.1. Wasted money on a terrible program before I saw this video. Also, this option is FASTER and FREE!
Great to hear sorry I couldn't have saved you the money first!
Great Video!! Solved my problem in few mins. Kudos to the creator of the video
I can't see the next text after the excel example. Is it 1s/
Wow this was so much easier to do than on windows. Granted it took a while as doing sheet by sheet but it works a treat.
Thanks for the info 👍

This was great I was trying to see how to do it for Mac straight to the point
I only got this message:
Archive: Journal.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of Journal.zip or
Journal.zip.zip, and cannot find Journal.zip.ZIP, period.

Absolutely not, that's a very big security risk.
