Hi Fret Was a a hard core punk 1977. Then came GBH DISCHARGE EXPLOITED CRASS me & my mate went to The apocalypse tour 1981. I like your comment a few punks. I was the only punk at school. Left in 79. & that's in Birmingham. Every one hated punk. Inc musos. Only 3 punks in my area. At the time. Funny how every man and his dog likes punk now.... Jumping on the bandwagon . And the uk82 scene was hated more than The pistols era. You really was on your Own... Perhaps its become acceptable because of Metallica Covers..
People commenting a lot about how this track sounds.....but what's happened to it's overall ethos, namely that no mainstream Government can be trusted & that all politicians need stripping of their power & wealth? Most punks from this time have forgotten what it all meant and will happily vote, talk politics in the pub, & some are even involved in local politics on some level!!!! No, it all needs dismantling!

An excellent and accurate summary of things (which incidentally can be applied to the Labour Party, the Conservatives & indeed Liberal governance of old) can be found on the first track of this E.P by UK punk band, Discharge, from Stoke-on-Trent. "De-control, de-control, we've been shit on for far too long" sung with a desperation and sense of resignation, knowing that yes, those of us without wealth and property have been shit on by the monied classes for far too long! Sadly, this is set to continue for I'd say, at least another 250 years if historical, democratic change is used as a barometer.
