WolfQuest's saga update is finally here, and we're diving in with Aden and Raven, our first anniversary edition pair! The duo makes their return on the Hellroaring Mountain map, where for the first time ever they will be able to raise their pups to adulthood and live life through the seasons, watching their pack grow around them. Through triumph and tragedy the Wayfinders pack must persevere as a brand new story unfolds!

For anyone struggling with the stranger wolf attacks,
• if you kill one of the wolves, they will give up (in my experience)
• check the known wolves tab mid fight to check if any of the wolves attacking are pups, they are easier to take down.
• target one wolf, because when it dies the danger is over.
• if your pups get too low, you can run and the wolves will give up eventually.
I’m sure there’s stuff I missed, but I hope this helps someone 🐺❤
yes thanks for the tips! just a little note if you attack the rival wolf pups the pack will get angry and target you more in that battle to get you off the pups i think is what the devs said so be careful! if you can get around the other wolves the pups will indeed be easier to kill
I got more to add to that!
- The higher the yellow fear metre on the wolf usually means they have less health.
- Don't run or sprint, it will trigger the other wolves to chase you and just waste stamina. I usually just stay still and do confident/aggressive emotes while I look around and see which wolf has the highest fear metre.
- use the hotkeys and memorise them. It saves you from having to press e and search the emote panel every time.

Exactly, targeting one wolf is more efficient because the entire pack will run if they die. Some people may be reluctant because of RP purposes, but it's winter time, even the most compassionate wolf isn't going to hold back because the other pack won't either
Recently figured out that if you kill both pack leaders, the whole pack disperses. I thought they would just automatically pick the oldest wolves (one F & one M) to lead the pack... I have abused this and so far within the 2 days of playing have obliterated 7 packs. I am unstoppable, no one shall beat me and my 17 children
Man, im loving the saga. I love how challenging they made it. Challenging difficulty is brutal. Im down to one pup (out of 6) and their mother is ded. My surviving pup is now 30lbs and we're halfway through growing pups
oh god. if challenging is brutal, i cant imagine what accurate is like. im playing the entire game on accurate..

Only took 16 years to get from Amethyst Mountain Deluxe to WolfQuest Saga. Hard to believe I've been following the development of a game for such a long time, but it also makes me beyond happy and proud that the devs were ultimately able to turn the initial project around and turn it into by far the best wildlife simulator on the market. Proud of the community too since without it the game wouldn't exist.

I adore your videos and I wanted to share a tip I learned! In future bear attacks try locking onto the bear and going in a circle around him while growling, it's worked really well in the past for me. It keeps the bear in the same spot (away from pups) and eventually, if you growl enough, scares him off without you getting injured
Keep in mind, they recently changed it so that just growling at predators has diminishing returns until you bite them as well, so that strategy may not be as effective anymore.

@@AbbyHausam You're welcome. It should still be a mostly sound strategy, as long as you now mix in a quick bite or two when the growling stops being effective. It may also take longer depending on how often you bite.
I've experienced one hex invasion so far, but it's just me and my mate, but I was so invested in the game that I was shouting at my computer screen calling the enemy pack cowards as they ran away, it was fun XD
That last stranger wolf attack was terrifying 😱 I was so worried for the pups...
I just focus on one old in the hex invasions, normally a yearling, which makes the subordinates go for me, which can also help my pack mates attack them, I always win when I do this ^^
Hey Jay! Big fan, been watching for a few years now! Just a few tips:
• When a stranger wolf attack happens, just focus on one of the wolves (preferably the weakest, they’ll normally already be limping)
•If you kill one of the wolves during an attack, the rest should run off
• If one particular pack keeps attacking you, make sure your shared border is strengthened (this doesn’t always work, but lowers the chances of constant attacks from only one pack)

My cousin and i used to play all the time a few years ago. Yesterday they said "wolfquest had an update" we both re-downloaded it and played all day. To say the new update has sparked an old love is an understatement. And apparently my kid likes it too.

I'm honestly so excited to see the new year of pups! The gameplay is bound to be very different between the first year and the years that follow.

Jay, when you're hunting Mule Deer, press x to jump, it lets you catch up to them pretty quickly without losing much stamina.
You don't want to bite the pub.Because then the wolves get more aggressive

I had the same problem with Buffalo plateau pack too.
And Yk what I did? I wiped out both the leaders until they were no more and made my territory as big as possible 😈
I know they still attack your territory either way, but the bigger your territory the less wolf raids you'll have on your pups!

Sorry to backseat game but this may help. Your "woof" is hot keyed to 1. Honestly, I would try and use it more as it saves you a few precious seconds rather than navigating your emote wheel. Same with the aggressive growl, as that can give more intimidation rather than normal growl. You can see and change your favorites through the emote wheel. Additionally, your mate will target the weaker elk (most of the time) from what I have seen during a chase. I think also the elk who throw their head back when they run will be lower health, also the weaker ones will run first during a stampede or just charge at you for a standoff if you run through the herd.
She's used to not having hot keys, so it's faster for her to just use the actual emote wheel
It seems like you killed the male pack leader and then 1004F is likely the female pack leader who came to revenge her mate! You almost were going to finish her off before she got to the river with her pups, very great storytelling I'm excited to see how that continues to play out

So glad to see youre loving the saga! Im currently playing it as well, first litter we had 5 puppies ALL MALE haha XD Second litter, we had 7 puppies but only 3 survived. We are now on our third litter! We pushed out a ton of rival packs as well!

I know I'm late but GIRL HOW do you manage to woof at the pups to tell them to back off every time when I do it it's hard😭😭😭 because like they keep running around and wolves keep biting me I lost two of my surviving pups to wolf attacks while trying to teach them how to hunt and I'm still pretty mad about it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sorry I haven't been watching your videos lately Jay, I just recently (November 19th) got a major surgery so I've been in recovery for awhile, still am actually. I just wanted to say, if you ever get a really smart but bold, strong male pup with solid black fur, could you name it Shadow for me? I've always loved that name because without light there is only darkness, but a shadow guides the way to the light.
Maybe I'm just obsessed with Shadow The Hedgehog but can you blame me? 🤣

I was so close to the young hunters quest with 6 pups but then the game glitched and a bison spawned on me and killed me on iron wolf 😔🥲
